| Meet The Founders |
| We are Rob Dittel and Chris Newpower, from Hugo, MN, a small, rural suburb of St. Paul. We have been competitive bass fishing now for 8 seasons. In the beginning we had joined different clubs, looking for something specific but we were unable to find exactly what we wanted. The other clubs offered us experience and time on the water, but for some reason those clubs left us wanting more. So we brainstormed in the boat and over the winter of 2000/2001 and decided to launch our own club - MinnMasters Team Bass Club. We love to bass fish and we love to weigh-in big sacks, but when it's all said and done, we love to BS over a beer at the trailer of the winner. We look forward to swapping techniques and patterns and most of all we wanted to create a bass club that will keep the anglers coming back year after year. Tight lipped anglers are worse than tight lipped fish. Got your secret spot on a lake? Think it will bring you $500 in the next tournament - GREAT! Go fish with them! Our goal is to build a tradition of competitive bass fishing. Along with that tradition we want to install a unique format that is rare among bass clubs and will make the guys coming back year after year. We are true believers that fishing "IS" a team sport regardless of what the others say and we have found that our best nights on the water have been fishng as a partner and not as an individual. |
