| Club Format/Rules |
| Partner Rules: This is a partner club and to join this club you must have a partner. You and your partner will fish together all season including the season ending tournament. This is not a draw type club. If your partner is unable to fish any given tournament, you will be allowed to bring a substitute. If you are unable to find a substitute, you can fish alone if you wish. At least one member of your original two-person team must fish each tournament. If both of you are unable to attend a tournament, you can not and will not send two "non-members" in your place and will be forced to forfeit that evening's match. Format: A limit will be considered five fish per team. A 12-inch minimum on each fish will be enforced unless local or state regulations require otherwise. A dead fish will result in a 1 pound penalty. No live bait or trolling will be allowed. Bringing extra fish to the weigh in will also result in a 1 pound penalty. Regular season tournaments are no longer match play. This is a every team vs. every team club. Heaviest 5 fish bag and heaviest bass of the night will split the prize money 60/40 respectively. There is a cumulative purse awarded to the "Team of the year" at the end of the regular season. The cumulative purse is awarded to the team with the heaviest cumulative weight over the regular season. The "Minnmasters Classic" is a separate weekend tournament at the end of the year in which the winner is awarded the Minnmasters Cup and prize money. The Minnmasters Classic prize money is separate from the regular season prize money. Pre-fishing Rules: Pre-fishing of tournament lakes may be done at any time other than the day of the tournament. So in other words gents - no fishing prior to blast -off. Violaters will be disqualified and forced to forfeit that evening's match. Regular Season vs End of Season Tournament This club will have a 10 tournament regular season schedule. At the end of that schedule, the team with the heaviest cumulative weight will be declared the "regular season" champions (Team of the year). This is based on cumulative weight totals throughout the year , rather on a point system based on wins and losses. We will track cumulative weight totals throughout the year as they will determine the outcome. If there is a "points" tie at the end of the regular season then the champion will be determined based on a series of tiebreakers stated below: 1st Tiebreaker - At the end of the 10th tournament, the team with the largest sack of the year will be called the "winner". 2nd Tiebreaker - The team with the largest "big fish" of the year will be called the "winner". The end of the season tournament will start with each team at zero and the team with the largest weight at the end of the tournament will be the declared the winner. Last Thoughts: Guys, there are no loop holes!! If you are unclear about a rule or format issue, don't spring it on us at the last minute. Ask either Rob or Chris up front for a clear answer. Also, if you feel what you are doing may be wrong it probably is, so don't do it! Use common sense! |
