One of the cons for acting racist on the internet is that people take their freedom of speech
to dangerous levels, but if we look at it on the opposite side, being able to express what one is feeling
on the internet might serve as a therapy session for some. Once they say what they feel they may be less likely to
do what they feel, then they will not act racism in the real world. Although there have not been
formal studies/research done on this concept it could very well be a further studied.
Another possible advantage for using the internet as a racist space is if for any reasons someone
did decide to write on the internet their ideas on racism and commit the crime that was said,
the internet could help police find the person. Going with the same idea, many public officials are part of racist groups and
they decide to go and join a racist group and talk about it on the internet, we may be able to find this information as well.
There are also many sites that promote anti-racist behavior on the internet,
or simply give information on what is happening with people being able to act racist on the internet.
For example the Rick Ross website,www.rickross.com , gives valuable information on the
dangers of racism on the internet because of the amount of people it can reach in a few seconds.
The Out-law website has information for trying to make a law against racism
on the internet because it promotes violence and hatred in our world.
