Being a single parent and home educating is not easy but then again life isn't easy. I am not being glib but simply realistic here. We have to spend our time differently than two parent home educatiing families. I find the challenges rough sometimes. Finances aren't always great but we manage.
For school materials, I count on the internet and library. I am blessed to have a strong church family which believes in home educating. I receive lots of support so that when I need assistance...all I have to do is ask.
Slowly I will be adding some things to my school pages that have helped us in our journey. I hope you find something helpful here. If I can help just email me.
1. I want matters of faith to be openly discussed without ridicule.
2. I don't believe in age-segregation.
3. I want learning to be from good books not workbooks only.
4. I don't want the 'politically correct' dogma to be the basis for my son's lessons
5. I want my son's education personalized to meet his needs...help where he is weak and encouragement where he is strong.
6. To protect my son from negative socialization....
