  Capricorns are seldom driven by a desire for money or possessions,  nor do they
  take pleasure in fleeting success or fame, however brilliant. They want durable
  power and lasting monuments. Their chilly rationality helps them keep control of
  their own emotions and any situations that might distract them. They have a fierce
  work ethic and great managerial ability. 

  They are capable of intense concentration, and matchless determination. On the way
  to their goals, they are indifferent to obstacles or privations and are seldom swayed
  by the feelings of others. They press ahead at any cost. If they feel chained and
  duty bound, they are dour and taciturn. They may be good and responsible
  individuals, but never joyful ones.

  As lovers, or spouses, Capricorns will provide material security, but at the cost of
  emotional drought. Capricorns make commitments only after a severe weighing of
  all the elements of a potential union. And they are often too cool, to solitary, and too
  self-sufficient to make loving partners.

  Capricorns are so insular by nature that they can get perilously out of touch with
  other humans. If this happens, their fate may be to seclude themselves atop their
  cold mountains like hermits.

  Aquarius is the most outgoing and receptive of the zodiacal signs. The Water Bearer
  pours new life into culture. Aquarians are the mystics, the idealists, the reformers,
  the humanitarians the innovators, the inventors--and, most of all, the communicators
  of their groups.

  Aquarians are generous, flexible, free-thinking, and curious about ideas that run
  counter to tradition. Given their humanitarian impulses, they are often strongly
  dedicated to the cause of human fellowship and are capable of total self-abnegation
  in the service of the common good.

  A major Aquarian risk is that of overindulging their mystical, nonconforming
  impulses. If they lack clear-headed rationality, they are capable of destructive
  attacks on tradition. Disloyalty, opportunism, and compromise are also potential
  Aquarian pitfalls. Water Bearers can be shallow, their genial exteriors masking an
  interior iciness. They may also be shortsighted and hampered by inertia.

  At their best, however, Aquarians are able to move from the abstract to the
  concrete. Beginning with imagination, Aquarians shape reality. And they work toward
  their most prized image, an all-inclusive and shining society in which each individual
  is a happy and productive contributor to the group.

  Virgos turns inward to seek larger meanings about causes and purposes in life and
  looking for worthy goals to pursue. Virgos are the zodiac's analysts, its critics, its
  purists. They are the servants, custodians, and perfectionist of culture.

  Virgos seek complete realization of the mind. They are logical, practical, and
  methodical. Their intellect subjugates their instincts. They have strong senses of
  order and organization and a love of the technological and the minute.  Virgos are
  usually very serious people. They are indefatigable workers with a strict sense of
  duty. Their need to serve, to be useful, is so strong that they suffer greatly
  when it is thwarted. This characteristic, coupled with their capacity for critical insight,
  makes  them adept healers.

  There is an innate refinement about Virgos, but also a nervous sensitivity. They are
  worriers who tend toward pronounced mood swings. In their negative moments they
  can be pessimistic, depressed, or even destructive. Virgos are blessed with powerful
  creative drives, but these are sometimes handicapped by their need to control and
  perfect. At worst, their order-loving natures can make them cold, introverted,
  punctilious, moralistic, overly fastidious, compulsive about personal health and
  cleanliness, obsessed with organization, and mired in petty details. Virgos may ask
  large questions, but they do not take large risks.

  They are rooted in the present and amenable to change only after meticulous
  forethought. They will not willingly court disappointment. Virgos are thrifty with love.
  They are rather aloof and repressed, even puritanical, viewing passion with a highly
  suspicious eye. They are demanding in their choice of partners. Virgos' real
  challenge is to expand their perspective beyond details, to see the larger order and
  underlying pattern of creation and to marvel at its abundance and diversity. Virgos
  who accomplish this will know the goals worthy of service. They will then serve with
  devotion, and in doing so will temper intellect with reverence.

  Cancer represents the passive, receptive, but profoundly powerful. Cancerians are
  family centered, tradition bound, tied to the past, fearful of the future and of the
  unknown. Security is one of their major goals.

  The symbol of the Crab is highly emblematic of Cancerian nature. Metaphorically,
  Cancerians have a hard outer shell and a soft interior. They need to feel safe if they
  are to put aside their brittle exteriors and expose their considerable vulnerabilities.
  They risk little and flinch easily. They are wary, defensive, and quick to withdraw
  into their shells.

  In the child mode, Cancerians hunger for love; there is never enough to satisfy
  them. But they always feel compelled to doubt it, and therefore test it, seeing how
  much a friend or partner can endure before withdrawing or withholding love.

  Arians are vital, instinctual and young - the zodiac's perpetual children, youths in
  search of identity. On the other hand, they may also be intolerant, impatient,
  impulsive, and overemotional, deficient in the capacity for self-reflection and
  concentration, and inclined toward taking impulsive and ill-considered risks.
  Enormous energy is Arian's great gift. Channeling it outward, past self-absorption
  and toward enlivening the world around them, is the great challenge confronting
  Rams.

  Arians hate constraint, boredom, apathy, and ambiguity. Nuance escapes them;
  shades of gray confound them. They are most comfortable with emphatic contrasts -
  black and white, yes and no, good and bad. Subtlety is foreign to their natures.
  Confrontational, provocative, and at times even outrageous, they delight in testing
  limits and breaking rules. They despise pretense in others; if it exists in themselves,
  they simply fail to recognize it. They tend to prompt conflict and to revel in it, but
  their fights are usually over principle and their roles are heroic. Arians are the
  zodiac's warriors. Wary of joining groups and following leaders, they are also
  quintessential individualists, and they care deeply for individual rights.

  Although they cherish their individuality, they can be disturbingly authoritarian and
  hierarchical. They prize their independence, but they tend to define their identities
  through interaction with others - and self definition is all-important to them. Thus,
  they care deeply about relationships, even while they toil and plumb them for every
  last scrap of informative feedback. For Arians, any form of contact is better than
  none at all, and even combat becomes a kind of telling intimacy. Of course, the point
  of combat for them is to win - on all fronts and at all costs. Competition adds zest to
  life; it helps to slake their thirst for life. Not surprisingly, contentious Arians tend to
  have difficulty forming lasting romantic attachments. They are sentimental but apt to
  be domineering. They are passionate, to be sure, but their passions are inconstant.
  Their tolerance of boredom is minimal, their youthful attention span limited.
