Dear Mr. Kincaid.

I was very much interested in your take on Reverend Moon's use of the
Washington Times, and your take on his cozying up with the United Nations, of
late. I, too, have had my misgivings about him, about the UN, and about the
Washington Times (even still I disagree with many of the editorials, there).
But probably I disagree with some of the very editorials that you, yourself,
may like the most.
I am black American (and conservative, believe it or not). And my appreciation
for conservative agenda rests largely in my concern for family values, I guess.
Although you and I would probably disagree on many issues, there seems to be
enough correspondence in what I read on your site, with what I feel in my
philosophical and political heart, that I have taken the time to write this
comment (something I almost never do, in response to a website).
What I want most to convey is the notion that, just as you and I would
probably put some of our differences aside in order to advance those issues we
hold in common; so, too, Reverend Moon has had to do that with all sorts of
strange bed-fellows. Although I have had many misgivings about him, I
gradually came to realize that, I too am a messiah of sorts, and so must you
be, if you really are worth your salt (as your website seems to suggest).
Your "American Way of Life" (which you are so concerned to preserve) is full
of a lot of holes (from the view-point of a Black American, or Native
American); but I can identify with many good elements in it, so I would not
want to make an issue, there. All I would like to say is, let's try to
appreciate what good Reverend Moon is doing through the Washington Times, and
rest assured that the man is almost out of this life, standing on the cusp,
with a good foot in the next life.
I am challenged by his call for us to be messiahs. I like that. We should
make the most of that. As for the UN, clearly (his being a strong
anti-communist for so long) he too, has noted and expressed many misgivings
about the UN... But, for some reason, he now thinks that he can help steer
that ship into a new, more positive direction. Rather than sink it, he thinks
it can be salvage it. I am hopeful along with him. And I hope that you will
take a fresh look, and try giving the man the benefit of the doubt, for just a
little while. I don't mean to dupe you or anything. I am under no illusion
that I may do so.
But I think we can do a lot more, working on our common goals, than we can
pulling the rug out from under one another. Please consider Reverend Moon's
transition, his change of heart about the UN, and consider whether or not
there is the possibility of some genuine concern in what he is trying to do,
there:

Also, please consider why more of the Black community (not all of us are as
stupid as we might seem, in so aligning ourselves), why many of us are trying
to give the man a fair shake:

And, finally, I would like to point out where his ideology would allow him
(such a strong Anti-communist) to reach out to a Kim Il Sung, or a Kim Jong-il;
and how he means to bring together the best of the left and the right, in order to approach a political situation that might allow our global spiritual
aspirations to be achieved, across the board--together with our material
dreams of equality, liberty, and justice for all:

The benevolent influence of the age of God's providence of restoration helps
to develop man's original nature endowed at the creation, which was prevented
from displaying itself by Satan's invasion. Therefore, in accordance with such
spontaneous desires, endowed at the creation, men unconsciously search for the
world of God's ideal of creation with ardent aspiration. Consequently, man's
original mind, headed for a socialistic society of the heavenly side, comes
after all to advocate the principle of coexistence, co-prosperity and
common-cause, finally realizing the ideal world in which God's purpose of
creation is actualized. This is the true Kingdom of heaven on earth centering
on the Lord of the Second Advent.
Satan, always trying to realize God's providence in advance, is steering his
way toward the world of communism by advocating so-called "scientific
socialism" based on materialism. Communists say that human history, having
developed from a primitive communistic society, is now going back to a
communistic society, but without knowing its cause. God, having once promised
man to realize the Kingdom of Heaven on earth after His creating man, permits
Satan, who had his blood relationship with man first, to realize his
non-principled world in a pseudo-form of the Principle in which Satan realized
in advance the imitation of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth, which God is going
to restore.
Democracy came about in order to replace the political dictatorship of
monarchism and to win the sovereignty back to the hands of the people.
Likewise, the Heavenly side is trying to realize the principle of coexistence,
co-prosperity and common-cause, after going through socialism, in order to
break down the imperialistic system of economy in which the state property is
monopolized by a certain individual or class, and to establish a system of
economy in which all people may equally enjoy the wealth. Meanwhile, the
Satanic side is trying to realize communism, in advance of God. Accordingly,
socialism presents itself to realize an economic society of a truly democratic
type.
We have previously clarified the fact that the history of the providence of
restoration, centering on Western Europe, has been separated into the three
aspects of religious history, political history, and economic history, each
developing through a formulary course. How, then, will these be able to
provide the foundation for the ideal of the Second Advent by completing the
providential history, in which they unite with one another on the same course
of history? We have also clarified above that the development of history has
been made in three divisions because religion and science, which were to
overcome man's spiritual and physical ignorance were not unified as one theme.
Accordingly, in order that history, having thus developed under three
different aspects, may be concluded into one focal point in which to realize
one ideal, the new truth, which can solve the problems of religion and science
under one unified theme, must manifest itself.
Then there will come a political society in which all mankind, having been
unified into the heart and bosom of God through the religion based on the
truth, will realize the ideal of creation on the economic foundation centering
on God's ideal. This is the true Messianic Kingdom based on the principles of
coexistence, co-prosperity and common-cause.
