Wow!! The 21st century has begun!!"
This is what I said at the
beginning of January 1st, 2001. Before that time I wondered what would be
changed in
21st century. There were many stories about highly developed science technology.
As we had foreseen, there have been many changes, nevertheless we have undergone
only two years of the 21st century, so far. Some of the non-offcial civilians
who are rich havevisited space, and impressed by the beautiful outer space
scene. And the very-fast-internet systems like ADSL were developed and most of
people are already using that system. So what will appear in the remaining time
of 21st century?
I think that the least developed part of modern technology is space technology.
Although we have been developing it for 50 years, now, we still can't get out of
the solar system ourselves. We can not even step on the surface of Mars, yet. We
have many sattelite dishes. I think that making sattelites and making them to
rotate in a circular orbit whose center is earth is is not a space technology
because it is limited in earth. Except the sattelites, the number of our
production about ST(space technology) is very little. In 21st century the ST
will be developed more rapidly than it has developed in the 20th century.
There are many other modern technologies, but I want to consider only IT, now.
IT, which means 'information technology', have undergone very bright
developments since the end of the 20th century, by the power of internet. The
power of internet is extremly huge. It allows access to many,various platforms
of information, so its nickname is "the sea of information". It enjoy widespread
connection allower the world. As a results communication is now very active
among many people. It is a surprising thing because pressing some buttons or
clicking a mouse wide-ranging communication is available. It is a vital thing in
this age.
We have looked around in our next world. I can't tell you what changes will
come exactly, because there will be many unimaginable changes. So we have to
prepare courselves so that we can survive in the competition of 21st century!!
