Which came first: the Bushman, or the Bouzouki? This question has puzzled us for the better part of the Twentieth Century. Without Bushman, there certainly is no real bouzouki. Without the bouzouki, though, could there still be a Bushman? While most people would have thought not just a few years ago, Bushman has proven his flexibility as an entertainer recently. In
1999, he lit the screen afire in Theo Fanis' Plochman's: Chronicles of Success, vol II. His performance gained him an entirely new following of young fans. But it was his early work with the Mini Tones that catapulted Bushman to superstardom. His ambidextrous bouzouki playing gave the Mini Tones a unique and truly electrifying sound. The only Mini Tone not of the Sariko namesake, Bushman is the son of restaurant mogul Petros & the wasp-squashing Eleni. Aside from his raw talent, Bushman has always maintained a rock-n-roll lifestyle and appearance. His boukless have inspired many over the years, include his relations (and Haussle, Inc. founders) Apostolis Karabouzakidis and Theo Fanis.
Now largely out of the music industry, Bushman occasionally dips his finger into side-projects with younger, upstart bands, such as the Levendes. In all, this member of the Ted Nugent Archery Club and survivor of Ginger Palmer's graduation party has the talent, look, and knack to be a rock legend as long as he wants to be.
