| The writer Matthew, records one of our mighty weapons we have in this warfare, that is prayer. Prayer is addressing God with words or with thoughts. It is an earnest request or wish. If we are going to bring order back in the Body of Christ we have to access, and release the weapon of prayer. "He said," The Scripture declares, My Temple will be called a place of prayer, but you have turned it into a den of theives !" (Matthew 21:13 NLT) God attended for His house to be the house of prayer. The church of today has become big business, and political. There's more programs to raise money than prayer. In this text, Jesus entered the temple and began to drive out the merchants and their customers. After this was done, then miricles and the move of God began to flow. The blind and the lame came to Him and He healed them there in the Temple. (Matthew 21:14NLT) Question, when was the last time you wittnessed, or received healing in your church? When was the last time you wittnessed your children, or the children in your local church worship and praise God? The problem we have ,is the church has become to "Churchey" ! And while we are, or what we consider to be having church, we are losing our kids to drugs, alchol, teenage pregancy, and homosexuality. Not to mentioned, the struggles that we go through on a daily bases. Struggles with bills, marriage, job etc. Satin has, and is attacking the Body of Christ on all levels. It's not just the church, he's attacking our schools where our kids attend, our homes where we reside, the jobs where we work, and the church the place where we worship. So the question is what do we do? Solomon wrote in II Chronicles, " If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land."( II Chronicles 7:14 NLT) The mandate is clear, to gather those who are called by God's name who will become humble, pray, seek God's face, who will turn from their wicked ways and have an ear to hear from God, and pray. What is the result of this? According to this text, God will forgive sins and heal the land. Matthew 21:16 states "And he said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?" Because order was establish, childern began to shouting praising and worshiping God. The Priests and the teachers of religious law saw what was going on and was upset, and ask Jesus do you here what they are saying? Jesus replied that these kis have perfected praise. It all begun because prayer was set back in the hous of God.
