In todays world's the leading tool that is able to gather data, process it and give it back in a small fraction of
time is the computer. The computer is awsome, because there is so much that it is capable of doing. Booking
air line tickets, buying a house, helping with home work, buying a car, solving home improvements, chatting
with friends and relatives, planning a family vacation and of the fast growing business now is home base
business, in which you will need a computer to be successful in it. Although, these are great to have acess to
when using a computer, there still remain a problem that is you have to be connected. There is no doubt that
John uderstood this principle when writting the 15 chapter of John.He begins to open this chapter up by telling
us who to be connected to. In verse 1, he introduce to us the " Power Supply". Understand that you can't
expect a toaster to work with out plugging it up, you can't expect a VCR, or a DVD player to work unless
you plug it up.Although the eletricity has to flow to the transformer through the power lines, it will ultimatley
reach it's destination that is the power supply. Watch this, you can't expect to do anyting for God unless you
are plug up. There are folks that say they are plug in, act like they are plug in, look like there plug in but there
is no power. Churches with no Christian growth no power. members that can't get a prayer through for them
selves no power, pastors with no vision no power. The bibles says you have a form of Godlessness, but you
deny the power there of. There are some that the enemy as lured to make you think you have no power.
You think God has not herd your prayers, or God has forgotten about you. I come to serve notice, although
it's dark right now, and you have to shed a little tear through faith and prayer being plug in will reach it's
destinationg that is the power supply. For no weapon form against those who are plug into the power supply
shall be able to prosper. Watch this, Running off of the power supply you will never get tired there is an endless
flow of energy. Job was plug up so when Satan consider him, he saw a hedge around him. As long as your
plug up the hedge is never removed until God moves it. Satin may attack you, but he can't destroy the power.
The problem is this, instead of running of the power supply, we have to many people running off of batteries.
Batteries have cells, and cells sooner or later will die. For this reason, we have back slidding preacher, back
slidding evangelist, back slidding pastor, back slidding teachers, backslidding choir, backslidding muscians
back slidding urshers, back slidding worsher leaders, back slidding members. That's why it's crucial that we
stay connected to the power supply. Stay Connected ! OH, Stay Connected ! You Stay, You Stay Connected!
Verse 2 presents to us a prepositioanl phrase that is " In me". Which means, you have been chosen, you have
been excepted, you have been redeem, you are now part of the chosen generation the royal preisthood the holy
nation, the peculiar people that should show forth the praise of him who have called you out of darkness into the
marvelous light. This verse shows us that yes, you are in me, but there yet remains a problem. This verse is
in comparison to the church of Ephesus in Revelation. I know you works, but there is something against you.
You are in me, but you have no fruit. Yes, you go to church.Yes, you have a Bible. Yes, you have a calling. Yes
you are annoted, but there is no fruit. So the remedy is every branch in me that brings no fruit he takes away.
He takes away the annoting. Have you ever tried to pray and could not? tried to witness and it did not work like
the last time you witness? Have you ever tried to sing, and could not fill the song? Have you ever tried to preach
and felt a void, tried to praise or worship and could not? The reason for this void is, the annoting was not
present because no fruit has been produce you have been cut off. John writes, every branch in me that brings
forth fruit he purges it that it may bring forth more fruit. The word purge means to take away. However, there
is a diffrence. The first take away, is because there was no fruit been produce. The second subtractions here
is done so that God can multiply in your life when the time is right. This take away keep us focus not on stuff
but rather keeps us focus on God. There are ministries, that have become side track because of stuff. People
are now joining churches because of the mentality of " what can God offer me" instead of " what can I offer
God".There are pastors, preachers, evangelist that have title that says I'm a supper star of ministry. And will
not come preach untill they a certain amount of money. Now, don't get me wrong. I believe in prosperity.
I believe in wealth transfer, I belive and have things. Having things is not the problem. The problem is when
things have you. Money is not the root to all evil, it's the love of money that's the root to all evil. When you
begin to love your wealth in your riches more than you love God it becomes sin in your life. So, to keep your
mind not things, but God verse 3 and 4 says, you are clean by the words that have spoken abide in me and I
in you. He states, the branch can't bring forth fruit fo it self except you abide in me. Proverbs states to all ways
acknowledge him and he will direct your path. Watch this, there is to many unsuccessful self build businesses
to many unsuccessful self build ministries, to many unsuccessful self build visions. Althoug we need the businesses, we need the ministries, we need the visions instead of waiting on God to give them to us, we will
start answering our own prayers. David says the steps of a good man is order by the Lord. There has to come
a time in out life when we stop trying to order the Lord's step and let him order our steps. He says to abide in me. You will find the word "abide" in the KJV, and the word "remain" INV writting 5 times between verse
4 through 7. In just three verse we will find a constant repeat of a word abide, are remain. It is that through
reputations, that Jesus is teaching the important of being connected to Him. Verse 6 states, that if you are not
abiding in him, your are like a branch thrown away and witherd, such branches are pick up and thrown into
the fire and burned. Have you ever seen a branch that has fallen off a tree? It slowly begans to rot because
it can't be nurtured. It has become disconnected from it's source. May be, it has been disconnected because
the wind have blown it down, or may be there was a mighy starm that came and the the storm was the cause
of the seperation from thre tree, or may be some one came by and pick it branch from the tree. But for what
ever reason, the fact reamain is that it's now rotten. To may times, we blame the wind, we blame circumstances
we blame people because we are not rotten. I'm like Prophet Junita Bynum, I'm tired of people who know the
Bible, but will not do the Bible, who know what right, but will not do what's right. Truly, if we know and do the
Bible like we ought to through hell are high waters, through tribulations or distress, persecutions or famine, nakedness orperil or sword, we should be able to say like Paul, I am persuade that neither hight or depth, nor
life nor angles nor principalities nor powers nor things present or things to come nor height nor death nor any
creature shall be able to seperate me from the love of God which is Christ Jesus our Lord. Watch this, there is
advantages, as well as disadvantages for being connected. The disadvantages is you will become rotten and rotten branches will dry out and will make a good fire. There are some rotten dry bones in the chruch that are
catching pure hell in their homes, on the jobs, in the community. When you have that much bad luck it seems
as though are catching hill in the church. That's why you start stay away. Seems as though the pastor is always
preaching at you. You are constantly being rebuke, and on top of that no one likes you. it's not that no one
likes you, it's that you are dry. There is to many rotten pastors, rotten deacons rotten urshers, rotten members
and if your careful you find yourself rotten in hell. But God is raising up a people that will lured by the enemy
standards, a people that is bold enough st stand up against the wiles of the Satan and declare that I am the redeem, I am the Chosen one, yet though you slay me I will not bow, the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh
away blessed be the name of the Lord.
The advantage of being connected is found in verse number 7. If you abide in me, and my word abide in you
you shall ask what so ever you will and it shall be done unto you. Satan kow the power of this scripture.
He understands that as long as you are off track this will never be manifested in your life. So he will use two
main things to keep you have track one is time. He will keep so busy that you don't have to get in to the presense
of God. Busy with work, kids activity, makeing sure the wife or the husband is ok. House choirs. by the time
you start to read or, pray it's late and you fall asleep. The next day same rutine. We have to have quality time
spent with God every day.
