Why won't the search engine work?
Answer: Perhaps Javascript has been disabled or is not functioning.
Without Java Script enabled the Internet search feature will not work.
Note: CGI search becomes available only when Java Script has been disabled
or is not functioning. (CGI search temporarily offline)
Is it safe to enable Java Script?
Answer: Yes. The Java Script used on this site ONLY helps users search the Internet and
this site. No intrusive or harmful Java Scripts are used on this site.
Note: This site does not, nor will it ever use cookies.

I am using Opera (or a different non-Microsoft/Netscape browser)
and the search feature does not work. What is the problem?
Answer: The Java Script search features do not work properly when used
by Opera 3.60, and perhaps other less popular browsers. Internet Explorer 4.x
and Netscape Navigator 4.x have no trouble running the search Java Scripts.
What is the best way to use the Java Script Internet search?
Answer: This Java Script is capable of searching four search engines
simultaneously. Unless your monitors resolution is set higher than
640 x 480, it maybe difficult to search four at one time. At that
resolution two simultaneous searches is recommended.

Why does it take so long for the search engine to return my search results?
Answer: You will only experience this sort of problem with the CGI search
feature. This delay is caused by Tripod's slow server. This delay is more
noticeable during peak hours.
Note: CGI search becomes available only when Java Script has been disabled
or is not functioning (CGI search temporarily offline)

I am using a browser other than Internet Explorer,
and a page element failed to load. Why?
Answer: The News Ticker Java applet failed to load because either
your browser doesn't support Java, or Java has been disabled.
What is a News Ticker Java applet?
Answer: A Java applet that delivers the latest U.S., Technology, and World news
to my website. News headlines scroll vertically in
"ticker" fashion.

use the games on your website, download a copy to your hard drive, then upload them
to your site. Thank you.
What is M.A.M.E.? What is an emulator?
Answer: MAME stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator. Running this emulator, in conjunction with a
games related data files (ROMs) will more or less faithfully reproduce that game on your PC. In other
words, with MAME you can actually play over 1300 classic arcade video games on your PC. These
are NOT recreations; these are the actual arcade games that appeared in arcades in the 70's and
80's.
Console games such as the Sony Playstation, Sega Genesis, and Super Nintendo can also be reproduced
on your PC (Mac, Linux, Amiga) through emulation. While the system requirements for running
M.A.M.E. on your computer are relatively modest, emulating the newer console games require much more
computing "muscle".

What is a ROM file? What is a front end?
Answer: The game's code is dumped into ROM files that the emulator loads and replays on your computer. The
purpose of an emulator is to actually pretend to be the CPU and support chips that these games need to
play. The emulator is the "hardware" of the arcade game, the ROMs are the "software".
A front-end is an application that allows you to select gaming options, then
sends that information to the primary emulation program.
