Of Mortality and the Negation of It’s Lasting Effects Through
the Suffering of Perpetual Denial of One’s Heart and Soul to
Another’s Heart and Soul Where an Intertwining of Said Hearts
and Souls Should be Better Suited to Both Mortals Involved

The door slams behind you
As you stagger through the rain.
The severance of your heart from mine
Has begun inflicting pain.
But I’ve suffered pain before
Although this may be worse.
I know deep within my heart
I’ll never be free from this curse.
For I’ve suffered pain to kill a god
And here I am, alive.
So that deadly pain has made me strong
And immortal, I’ll never die.
