Religion
Currently, all the world believes in the Great Spirit, an all-powerful goddess not much different than the Christian God. on very rare occasions, she has direct audiences with mortals. Approximately 2000 years ago, the Great Spirit did not exist, and there were instead 28 gods and goddesses, each ruling over their own realm. Pannoth, the god of magic, was destroyed during the first sacrifice of inherent magic by the Magi. Upon Pannoth's destruction, the other gods realized that they were weak as individuals and decided to join as one, the Great Spirit. Few know the truth of this tale, and still fewer actually believe in the Once Lords, as they are called. They are seen by most as legends, or stories that are told to children. There is an occasional tribe, or cleric, or priest who will worship one of these deities, but they are often subject to much ridicule.
