So spread 'em, Angel
And take to the sky
Please take me with you
I so want to fly
Accept me, Angel
Reveal what you hold within
The sky is neverending
Our love has yet to begin
I'm begging you, Angel
How I need this kiss
Between our hearts, not lips
A flooding eternal bliss
Let me fly, Angel
I need your love like air
You make my soul scream for you
And empty, I despair
It's time now, Angel
I can't go on alone
Scathing without your love
Like rending flesh from bone
I'm crying, Angel
Do you see what you've done?
And only because I love you
And fear and miles run
Let's fly, Angel!
Oh, I'm desperate now!
Receive my mortal's kiss
And love me please, somehow
Angel, my Angel
You've come and how I care
Our love is strong and true
A bond we'll forever share
It's us now, Angel
The sky is ours to keep
Golden feathers borne aloft
As we embrace immortal sleep
Danke, let's fly...
I wrote this for Laura around the time when I really started to have feelings for her, but we still weren't sure what those feelings were. That's where the "Our love has yet to begin" line comes in. The beginning is asking for acceptance, the middle begging for it, and the end reveling in it once it is achieved.
