Deadly Enamoration (Kiss of Death)

She holds me close;
The tears are in her eyes,
Fear in her heart
For what she has to do.
She knows we can't survive;
Sunlight mine for now,
Darkness hers forever.
And my heart is trembling,
My body hers to mold,
My life in her hands
As I've willingly placed it.
The trust is blind
In both of us,
And passion excites our blood.
She knows she wants it.
I know she hates to know.
She closes her eyes,
Squeezing a tear from her lids
That rolls slowly down her cheek
And she moves to kiss me,
Her lips on mine,
And then my throat.
So cold, so warm,
Then the tortured pain
And flowing ecstacy.
Exhaustion clothes my being.
I wake in her arms,
But now the world
Is dark in infinite mystery,
And I feel a burning hunger.
I realize why she waited,
Why she hated to be this thing,
Then to make me it as well.
She cries unendingly, now,
For I am damned,
And hated as she,
And she has made me so.
The kiss of death
Has worked its evil magic
So the devils can walk together
Until the end of time.
Until Forever dies.
