Handle Bar Controls
The stock handle bar controls on the ZB50 were of very poor quality. It looked like it came from some scooter or kid's toy (as the brake lever was children size) and ugly switches. With the installation of the 4 speed manual clutch electric start engine and Monkey R disk brake, I would eventually needed to upgrade the controls anyways (left side clutch perch, electric starter switch, and master brake cylinder) I went to the local motorcycle wrecking yard and found these controls that looked like a match for "Project ZB50." The master brake cylinder, lever and perch were off of a full size sport bike. The switches were also off of a 80's model sportbike. There was no name written on the parts so I do not know what they came off of. The handle bar were also modified to the lay down type-just like the Monkey R. Now I have upgraded the ZB50 to early model NSR50 style handle bars. They are lighter weight and are also are better positioned than the stock lay down type Monkey R handlebar. The parts bolted right on from a Japanese spec Honda NSR50 AC10.
