A few examples of my sculptures of my favourite breeds of horse. I use pictures of horses of the relevant breed in a position I like to produce these. I have literally only just started so these are of course lacking in the detail of the great sculpters out there! I may consider taking a comission for a horse model but only if I feel I can take it on and as long as you understand that these take time and creativity doesn't always flow as smoothly as I'd like it to and therefore cannot offer a time scale on how long one would take to complete! |

Primero |
|
|
|
|
|
Primero was sculpted as an Andalusian foal and painted in pastels to a "baby" bay. He has so far been shown twice which resulted in a first place and a qualifier for the MHS Championships 2004. He is Stablemate scale so you can imagine how tiny he is. Working in this scale it was amazingly difficult to capture and detailed muscling or veining. |

Grey Ghost |

Grey Ghost (named after a character from Stormrider by David Gemmell) is sculpted as a warmblood mare. She was loosely based on the Caprice resin. She was then primed and painted a dapple grey completely using pastels. Unfortunately this one didn't quite set as I wanted and she couldn't stand properly so I had to produce this base for her. She is stablemate scale and is shown here hacking out in one of my stablemate scale English sets. |

Kamui |

Kamui (chosen one) is a stunning Andalusian stallion in small paddock pal scale striking out. Prepped, primed and customised to a black with blue highlights and lots of chrome. Glossy hooves and eyes. I was really pleased with how this guy turned out. |

This thoroughbred mare is in a relaxed halter pose with head facing slightly to the right. She has been customised to a warm red chestnut with stockings and stripe. She is paddock pal in scale. Not conformationally perfect but such a sweet expression :} |

Now primed and painted but awaiting a photo. This young Andalusian filly really turned out better than the others! I have painted her to a bay with star and snip with four white stockings. I'm really really pleased with her so far. |
