How To Make The Paints

What you need: Cardboard, paper, paints, cocktail stick, old paintbrush, wooden barbecue sticks, flat toothpicks and glue.

Cut two pieces of cardboard for the box of paints and attach them together with a strip of paper. The paper is shown in blue in the picture.

The box should open and close like a book.

Paint small circles of colcour inside the box to make the paints.

Decorate the lid of the box if you want. To make the paintbrush, cut a piece out of the cocktail stick and paint it if you want. Cut some hairs off an old paintbrush and glue them onto the end of the stick. Glue a short strip of paper around the stick, at the place where the hairs are joined to it, to make the "metal" part of the brush. This part is shown in grey in the picture.

Cut a length of barbecue stick to make the back of the easel. Glue this onto a flat toothpick.

Glue two more pieces onto the toothpick to support the painting on the easel.

Cut three legs for the easel out of the barbecue sticks, and glue them on, one pointing towards the back and two, slightly apart, towards the front.

Paint the easel if you want. Cut a small piece of paper, draw a half-finished picture on it and place it on the easel.
