How To Make The Base

What you need: A piece of cardboard, a piece of green fake fur (if you want the bear walking in grass) or green felt, and glue, sellotape or darning needle and thread that matches the fabric.

Cut the cardboard into the shape you want the base to be. Cut the fabric into the same shape, only a bit larger. Place the cardboard on the back of the fabric and fold the edges of the fabric onto the cardboard.

Glue or sellotape (shown in red) the edges of the fabric to the cardboard. You can also stitch the fabric in place if you are using fake fur. Make small stitches so they are hidden in the fur.
