How To Make The Apron And Hat

What you need: White fabric, coloured fabric, scissors, white sewing thread and needle, glue and some ribbon.

Cut an apron-shape out of the white fabric and a small pocket out of the coloured fabric. Treat the edges of the pieces with diluted glue to prevent fraying.

Topstitch the pocket onto the apron. Cut two lengths of ribbon and stitch them onto the sides of the apron.

To make the hat, cut a circle and a rectangle out of the white fabric. Fold the longer edges of the rectangle onto the wrong side of the fabric and topstitch in place. Sew the short ends of the rectangle together to make a ring.

Stitch round the edges of the circle.

Tighten the thread to pull the circle together into a puff.

Sew the puff onto the ring to complete the hat.
