My profile

Hello~ I'm Myung-eun Kwon, the student of Sogang Unversity. I major in Korean Literature and Journalism. Here, I'm going to let you know about my family, school days, all different experiences I've done, and my merits. I hope you can enjoy reading the article about me.

My family has 4 members, father, mother, younger brother and me. All of us like to chat and talk about days we spent each other. However, we can't do that in these days, because we don't live all together. I'm in Seoul, my brother is in Yongin and my parents are in Daegu. Therefore, we can only meet during holidays. In some point, we miss each other so much, so it could be good to live separately.

In my Dae-gu foreign language highschool, which was the ground of competitions, I realized nothing is impossible with the greatest efforts. I was in the department of English, and there were a lot of students who can speak English fluently. I enjoyed my highschool days, because I liked English and my friends. In addition, literature study seemed to be very interesting, so I decided to major in Korean literature.

In the Sogang university, my motto was "do whatever I want to". Thus, I became a member of drama circle "momzit". While I took part in the drama circle, momzit in Sogang University, various kinds of chances came up to me. First of all, working as a director taught me how to manage the project and to be a good leader. I also worked as the present of momzit, therefore I could develop my leadership. Secondly, a plan maker of the play Vampire of Chyungye-cheon was very impressive. As the plan maker job was supposed to advertise the play and attract the people to the theater, I could enjoy it very much. However, gaining sponsor from the company was difficult. Only the half of the planned budget was gathered up, therefore I had to make some other plan. Suddenly, two creative ideas came up in my mind. One of them was downsizing. For example, I cut the brochures and posters in half in order to save our budget. The other plan were seductions such as doing interesting researches, putting some special pictures. The audience, who hadn't had any interests in performances, went to watch them and it was the big hit with over 300 audiences.

While I took a break for one year of college, I started to do many different part time jobs. A convenient store, wedding shop, cafeteria, tutoring, and other various jobs made me look at the world in a different point of view. Among them, translation job in "Daegu Textile Fair Secretariat(PID) lead me into the wider global world. Thus, I participated "Camp Counselor in USA Program The special Camp for the disabled people was very hard to adapt, and it was the hardest experience I've ever done. However, feeling that I can do everything with just two of my own hands was really nice and made me stronger.

I'm a go-getter. Sometimes, I also want to be a happy-go-lucky type of person. Instead of being so obsessive, I would like to think that everything is fine. However, it is my nature to be a go-getter. Focusing on matters Im takin charge of makes me so happy and even comfortable. For example, my family knows that I would be very angry if they touch me when Im concetrating on something. The activeness is also one of my merits. A frog in the well" is the most fearful thing in the world to me. In winter of 2003, I went to Europe to see the wider world again. Besides travel, the job regarding the global business is fascinating all the time. So, I read English books and newspapers to improve my English. So, being a frog in the well will never happen to me.
