Like a moth to the flame,
dancing within the light.
Feeling the heat,
unable to turn away.
Mesmerized by the glow,
flickering out of my grasp.
Reaching, straining to touch,
to feel for a moment,
the warmth promised,
in the light.
Flying too close
I dance within the heat.
Briefly feeling the wonder
the joy and then pain.
Startled by the sensations
blinded within the fire.
Silent screams,
unfulfilled dreams,
the flame burns on.

I Hate you!
the battle goes on
two lovers caught
in an emotional storm.

each other believing
the other so wrong
To stubborn to see it
the fighting goes on.

A sigh
A tear
the anger
and the pain
the words I am sorry
let's try again.

and coming together
a smile and embrace.
the battle is over
and love takes it's place.

The Price

Upon a dark and grassy knoll,
the soldiers marched as if one soul,
was shared by all and filled with pain,
upon the battlefield now stained,
with comrades blood and their enemies,
mixing together into a crimson sea...
That stained the grass a darker brown,
and one and all they searched the ground,
for a sign that what was fought that day,
would somehow matter and repay,
the debt that all had fought and lost,
would somehow balance the terrible cost,
of the bodies laying scattered there,
of families that would silently stare ,
at the bearer of the terrible news,
that their loved one was among the few,
to die that day in a battle bold.
To fight for rights and to uphold,
the beliefs that all for freedoms land,
should be upheld by every man.
But it falls short this fallacy,
when dead soldiers eyes no longer see.

DreamScapes

Images flowing.
A kalidascope
in my dreams.
No realities.
Memories floating,
incoherant.
Misty figures,
indistinguisable.
Words muted.
Thoughts drift by.
Dreamscapes.
Thoughts of you,
forming feelings,
emotions,
like a tide.
Adrift in dreams.
And then you appear.
Beckoning.
Images dissolve
around you,
reforming,
becoming
a dream no longer.
Me the dreamer,
you my reality.
