Ghost

Your just a ghost
hiding in the recesses of my mind
sometimes coming out
when I think and wonder why

I've tried to exercise you
to make you go away
but you were never one
to bend and easily sway

So you creep into my thoughts
rattle chains of memories
little things make you appear
life's little absurdities

A song, a phrase, a petal from a rose
and suddenly you appear
what I thought was dead and buried
now suddenly is here

Bidding me to think once more
of ghosts and yesterdays
what might have been, what could have been
my mind reels with these queries

But like all ghosts
your apperation doesn't last
a fleeting passage of time
then you fade back into my past

I Didn't Know

I didn't know when I met you
how much a part of my life you would become
I didn't know the emptiness
I'd feel when we're not together
I didn't know how much love
my heart was capable of giving and recieving
I didn't know how much time
would be spent in thoughts of you
I didn't know the sudden joy
that can wash over me whenever I see you
I didn't know how my heart
could suddenly beat faster with mere words from you.
I didn't know that I could laugh and smile
so much when we're together
I didn't know that I could need
someone as much as I need you
I didn't know what it felt like
to find the other half of my soul
I didn't know the pain
I could endure in losing you
I didn't know alot of things
but I know now

Inspiration

You believe that you don't inspire me
I tell you that it's not true

as when I am with you

Your in my every waking thought
and all my dreams at night
my darling you do inspire me
I have never soared so high

your heart entwines with mine
your soul and mine are one
there is no truer love than ours
