11/11/01 SMALLVILLE TO FEATURE "STANDING STILL"

"Standing Still," the new Jewel single will be featured in an upcoming episode of the WB
action/drama "Smallville."  The episode will air next Tuesday evening,
November 13th, at 9:00 PM EST.

Once again the folks at the WB are answering the pleas of Smallville Fans.. On November 21, the wb will re-air the premier and metamorphosis back to back. Now to see if they include the cut scenes from the 2nd re-airing? This will follow the Nov. 20 ep, "Hourglass" which looks to be an episode full of relevations!

And for Those in the philly area... Fox 43 airs repeats of the new episodes each week at 12 am Friday mornings (or thursday nights for nocturnal viewers).

California Pizza Kitchen will host a grand opening celebration, at which the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Los Angeles Chapter, will honor two local Fire Department members. Chief Daryl Arbuthnaut and Captain Mark Arnold will both receive the organization's ``Partners in Progress'' awards, an honor bestowed in recognition for their continued support to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and their service to the City of Los Angeles.

Many local celebrities will be in attendance to show their support for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and local firefighters, including Matthew Perry from ``Friends'' and actors from ``The West Wing,'' ``Charmed,'' ``Days of Our Lives,'' ``The Drew Carey Show,'' ``Smallville,'' ``VIP,'' and ``Baywatch.''

11/7/01 RATINGS!! And photo additions

For the week of oct. 29 - nov. 4 the highest rated WB show was .....  ..... SMALLVILLE!1 at 77, but nonetheless great for the WB. Guess there's a good chance this series will continue for a while...

10/29/01 WB' Smallville gets Super Order

HOLLYWOOD (Variety) - It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a full-season order for "Smallville!"

The WB has ordered an additional nine episodes of its teen Superman drama "Smallville," ensuring the series will produce 22 episodes this season. The pickup comes a mere week after "Smallville" debuted to the WB's best-ever premiere ratings. Over two weeks, "Smallville" has averaged 7.8 million viewers.

The new take on the Superman legend features Tom Welling as the teen of steel. Unlike previous incarnations, "Smallville" has what producers have called a "no tights/no flights" rule, which means Welling will not be seen in the traditional Superman costume and won't take to the skies.

*** im not so sure im down for the "no tights/no flights" rule... i can understand no cape, but his flying it would seem would be a major advancement in his powers and offer some storylines...not to mention it is by far clark's most impressive power.
