WEAVING

Each row is woven with two strands of yarn. Cut strands 12" longer than finished blanket length.

Row 1: Thread yarn needle with 2 strands of MC. Hold blanket horizontally with beginning ch at your right. Leaving a 4" length of yarn for fringe, insert needle through ch below first ch-l sp of first row. Working toward last row (left), go down in ch-l sp of first row and come up in ch-l sp of next row. Continue weaving up and down in each ch-l sp across. Run needle through slip st on last row. Pull row of weaving even so blanket does not pucker.

Row 2: With MC weave next row in same manner, alternating up and down positions with those of preceding row.

Continue weaving in the following Stripe Sequence: 6 Rows MC, (4 rows CC, 8 rows MC) 7 times.

FRINGE

Working across one end, tie a knot with the first 3 strands (2 strands from the first row and one strand from the second row).

Tie a knot with the next 2 strands (one strand from the second row and one strand from the third row) Continue in this manner until each strand has been used, tying last knot with the last 3 strands.

Lay flat on hard surface and trim ends evenly to 3" lengths.
