The Pirates of the Caribbean
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle
Finding Nemo
The Matrix Reloaded
X-Men 2

All right, I confess, I didn't keep a good movie viewed notes for too long. I have been taking Yoga classes these days, and that caused me missed the first movie showing on every Saturday and Sunday. I got this unlimited Yoga class pass, I have to make my money worth, plus I don't always have companion to go to the movies with me. Therefore, the movie seeing ritual seems to fall out of weekend activity list.
But those movies I have seen, they are definitely worth the money, especially "Finding Nemo" and "The Pirates of the Caribbean".
Finding Nemo is quite interesting, as you can see, lots of kids begin to flash their fish just because the fish in the movie said "All drains go to the ocean". That pretty much says the magic of this movie.
Johnny Depp is always amazing, he never really played the same type of role twice and he has done a wonderful job to play Captain Jack Sparrow in this one, it's just so much fun for the boring summer
X-men 2, I saw this one twice. If you have missed the big stereo movie showing, then forget about it. Because the most powerful scene at the very beginning with Mozart's K626, you need feel the power in the big room with THX to experience the power. Otherwise, well, just wait until the DVD and use your earphones. Yeah, I know I can be mean some time.
Charlie's angels, it's such a cheesy movie which I just feel so unbelievable. Of course, Demi Moore's body is just, how should I put it ? Amazing ? or unreal ? You pick. Over all, it's a comedy, it's good to see it in an afternoon if you need some amusement to entertain. I know I was quite well entertained that afternoon and laughed all the way to the end.
The LXG, special effect is amazing and very detail. It's a fantasy movie. Not a bad entertainment.
Now, we finally talk about
the Matrix Reloaded. What should I say ? You have to wait and see the final ( this December I was told ) to determine if this one is worth seeing. It was very much anticipated at the opening weekend, then just faded.

For those of you who are curious if I am going to see the
Hulk, the answer is NO. I will not see T3 either.
The mind is set, stop bugging me.

Spirit Away

I haven't seen any movie  for quite a while. Weekends have turned to be "catch-up" days. I always call "animation" Cartoon, because I love cartoons. It brings back lots of good memory with my father.  We both got hooked by toons. I like happy  cartoons, adventure cartoons, not "horror" cartoon.  This is one of happy, adventure and creative cartoon. A little bit dark, but, it's within my tolerance limit. Too bad, I can't get the original Japanese version. Language does make a difference, the feeling is just, let's say, off.

The Recruit

I went to see this movie 3 days before its scheduled show date. Because company sponsored the movie and we got free tickiets. I went alone. It's very rare that I would fall asleep at the end of the movie, in fact, I think it's the first time ever that I felt sleepy close to the end of a movie. So, my conclusion is, no need to waste money on it. In fact, I didn't pay for it. No interest whatsoever to see it again, ever. I just feel sorry that Al Pacino is either short of money or out of his mind to make this movie. That's all.

Chicago

This is a must see movie. No matter how much you hate musical, but this one is worth every penny.
I won't say Richard Gere is great, but it indeed is his personal best performance.
My favor sequence is "He had it coming". This kind of edit can be done at film, not on stage
.
I am a moviemanic.
I go to the movies by myself most of time.

Why? Maybe it's because I am a bit picky the company.
(Don't make me wrong. I do have couple companions that I enjoy seeing movies with very much.)

You know, there are people who pretend to enjoy seeing movies, but in fact, they fall asleep in the theater. The worst case - snore out lout. I am not sure who is embarrassed more.

My suggestion to those people who don't like to see certain type of movie, just speak up before you buy the ticket. Save yourself money and spare your party humiliation.

The not-so-bad kind - talking and talking during the movie. For God's sake, there are people "pay to see the movie", not to listen to your comment. And if you want to make out with your boy/girl friend in the dark theater, pick some other places.

I know I will miss the U.S. very much once I leave. I will miss the movies the most. Oh, well, make that 2nd most because I will miss that "causal speeding" the most.
