| Friends with me for years usually will notice I recognize people by voice most of time. Got the talent and not-so-good habit to "track" voice. The first time I track this young puppy's voice was at Sarah Brightman's La Luna concert where he sang "There for me" with her. I just track that voice to this album. Same way I track Alessandro Safina all the way from Moulin Rough. Anyway, Josh Groban is young, with poweful tenor voice. Great bright future ahead of him. However, if you carefully listen to those pieces he sings, still lacks of that "aching feeling". That's the disadvantage of being young. Especially when he sang "You're still you", "To Where You Are", and "Home To Stay", you can tell something is missing. Bottom line, those are wonderful pieces in this album. David Foster has done a great job to produce this album. Of course, I love this album is not just because of his voice, but also the lyrics of those beautiful songs. Personal favors are Canto Alla Vita, Un Amore Per Sempre, To Where You Are , You're Still You and Home To Stay. In fact, I like almost every piece but the last 2. |
