In addition to the monument it is our intention to include a garden and picnic area. There is a wooded section of approximately 5000 square feet immediately north-west of the monument area that is well suited for a picnic area. Improving access by upgrading an existing pathway would provide access.
With the addition of picnic tables, waste receptacles, and some landscaping of the grounds it is anticipated that this will become a well used area for visitors to the site to take breaks and lunches.
