The UP Mining Engineering Society, commonly known as the UP MINERS, is the first and only student organization exclusively for Mining Engineering majors in the University of the Philippines. It is formed to reach out and unify EM majors in order to meet the challenges confronting them, promote academic excellence among members, provide a venue for proactive and responsible mining, and to aid in the advancement of mining engineering profession.
The organization has no official domicile as of the moment but its members hold regular meetings at 409-410 and at the Center for Mining Studies office on the 4th floor of the National Engineering Center (NEC).
