Yesterday was the first day of school. I got to school at 7:59 because there was so much traffic and got to class right before it started. I didn't know that Mr. Ringer's econ class is in Mr. Larson's old room so I got a bit lost finding H-10.

He gave us homework to write about a current event, so I chose the rise of deaths from Creutzfield Jakob's disease (aka mad cow disease) and it's advent in being diagnosed in America. AP German actually has about 15 people which suprised me. I'm looking forward to AP English this year because of all the great literature we get to read. I want to develop my writing and poetry.

In Ceramics Mr. Garst told the ubiquitous horrour story about a girl losing her hand in the pug mill. AP art is much different this year, there are lots of young people. Last year there were only 3 juniors and the rest were all seniors.

The class has about 20 people, which is quite large compared to last year when we had about 8. After school I had to go to the auto shop with my mom to get the car because it was having work done. On the way there we stopped by imagery to see about senior pictures. I can't get them for a while though, because I have this bruise on my lip.

I left and headed to city college straight away. I got there at about 5:10 and went to student services to find out my grade for Political Science this summer (I got an A). I hadn't had time to get dinner, so I bought some vegan sushi and grapefruit juice. I ate the wasabi all at once-tears streamed out of my eyes from the intensity. Afterwards though I felt really good and refreshed (I needed something to wake up).

I went to class 10 minutes before 6:00 to study.

Aron walked in and was very suprised to see me there because he thought it was his botany classroom. We talked a bit and then he rushed off because he was 1/2 hour late to class. The lecture was very informative, it was about biomes and different systems such as tundra and taiga. Most every term in environmental bio is russian, so I am picking up a bit of the language.

Victoria sent me a letter which I got yesterday, and she is learning Russian. She wrote some things in Russian, and will teach me more. She knows German, English, Italian, French, and is now learning Russian. She also wrote to me auf Deutsch. I got home from class at about 9:30 and decided to take Pres for a run. As soon as I got out the door I slipped and fell head first onto the concrete.

My skin is completely scraped off of my knees, hip, and elbow. It is kind if scary because part of my bone is exposed on my elbow, and it's really raw. It felt like my leg was sprained, and the pain got pretty bad. I cried for a couple of hours. But as always we had no vegan medicine. Someone needs to invent vegan painkiller, I would be their #1 customer with how often I have been hurt lately.

Today I woke up today and my leg felt better but my elbow continues to feel worse. I've got to go read Dostoevsky, so that's all for today.
