Earth's Extinction
When Heaven vanishes, so does its music.
Heaven's gate will never open to new arrivals.
Trumpets will no longer sound their joyful
Welcome. Angels will no longer have
A song to sing.
When the sky disappears, no more can its beauty
Be looked upon. The sun will no longer shine
To brighten each passing day. No clouds will
Produce any water to sustain life. Waterfalls
Will all run dry.
When the sky is gone, its nightly beauty can
Glimmer no more. Stars will no longer twinkle
Like a silver prism. The moon will no longer
Light the darkest paths.
When the past becomes the present, then the
Future will become the past. When fables
Become true, so will the devil.
When the dead walk again, they will roam
The earth with a happy heart. When wild
Animals become tame, that is the day
To start thinking about the earth's extinction.
When the earth turns to dust, then the end
Of the world has come. And now, with tears
Of sadness and a heavy heart, we must say
Good-bye to our beloved, Mother Earth -
As she now joins with the other planets that have
Vanished in an ever expanding and seemingly
Endless, Heavenly universe.

Lakeside Sunset
Relax, close your eyes, and picture this ...
You're sitting alone on a rock near a shoreline.
The evening wind has a piercing chill
As it brushes against your face.
Trees gracefully sweep the earth and sky
With a gentle sway. The wind sings
A peaceful, happy song. As the strong
Wind blows, it forces the white capped
Waves against the rocky shoreline. The
Waves spray a gentle mist upon your skin.
It is soft like the fall of a gentle rain. As
The sun slowly sets behind the horizon, the
Yellow sky beats its golden glow across the water.
Pink, purple, red, and orange add a hint of color
To an empty sky. Sand colored clouds look like
A heavenly desert spreading its beauty
Long and wide.
Sunset Soul
The magnificence and beauty of a sunset
Fits perfectly into our puzzling lives.
As we watch the setting of the sun,
We find it soothing to the mind and soul.
It's a time to relax and unwind, to reflect on
The days events, hassles, and stresses
That fate has laid upon us.
As you watch the sunset, take a long deep breath
And absorb the beauty before you. As you slowly
Exhale, relax and let your mind go blank...
And let the cool gentle breeze
Carry the day away and cool the night.
What a beautiful sight it is, and so refreshing
And reenergizing, to watch the colors change
With each passing minute as they spread
Across the horizon. When all is still
And the sun is nearly gone, listen with
Your heart to the tale of the sky, and
Revel in the changing moods
Set before us in color.
