-Font's review and questions about the novel by Ken Kesey |

Ken Kesey's novel, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, is one of epic proportion. It has subject matter that has not yet been delt with in any other novel. I can't say the book didn't shock me, because that would be a lie that wouldn't ever leave my mind and I'd end up killing myself for lying. I could say that a book was a piece of shit and not worry the hell out of it, but with a book that is truly great, you can't lie without remorse. This is one of those books. I can't get it out of my head, the fog, the smell and everything else that makes it what it is.

I couldn't get through fifty pages without trying to hold my bladder in. I was ready to burst and would have if I hadn't cut myself. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is a book that will stay with you. You can't put it down for fear that you'll miss something. I was amazed at how it took me in and wouldn't let go. |
