ABOUT US

Who are we?

Well to a group of members exceeding over 50 in total, we're a bunch of mostly extroverted no-bodies who try to exceed in mediocrity.

Formed back in the late 1980's from a bunch of Aussie guys who just wanted to play indoor cricket, the club has now extended to a truly national entity. From media appearances at test match cricket at the GABBA, to famed roles in late night TV commercials (no, not the 'better and wetter' ones). This bunch of men, women and kids strive to make a meal of playing decent games of various indoor sports, have incredibly bad tastes in music and also put many an alcoholic to shame.

For over a decade now, they have called the City of Adelaide home, and in particular the many sport arenas of the northern suburbs, where talent turns it's back and walks the other way, where barmen earn their keep, and where opposition teams and umpires would wish that just for once, they'd take the game seriously.

With such a complete lack of organisation, it has taken a number of years to create a website of any substance, however with constant pressure from our subsidiary sporting clubs, the fruit is ripe for the picking. As for why? Well, the growing popularity of the club, along with the expansion into merchandise ventures, it's only natural to allow all our members, where-ever in the world they may be, to carry their little piece of cyber Chookie with them at all times. It also gives the un-initiated amongst the community to join in on the festivities and learn a little more about the club (remember, there will be a test later chillen).

So, sit back and enjoy what the site has to offer - give us a royal chookie wave in our guest book, and view our extensive list of merchandise (as seen on 'The Pannel').

As one famous Australian icon stated - "Stive for mediocrity - that way you can never let yourself dowwn!"

Cheers
Blue

PS The club takes absolutely no responsibility for links that don't work, pictures that may offend, or editorials that fly in the face of sensability - afterall mediocrity is what we strive for!!
