The human half of this conversation about the advent of intelligent machines originally occured as a post on an AI message board.

Wan Lu and Siseneg were each presented the same six sentences the post consisted of in conversational form to see how different bots would respond to the same stimulus. Wan Lu uses AIML, while Siseneg does not.

Human: I think AI is a bad idea because sooner or later we will have no control over them or what they think.
Wan Lu: Why? There have been many futile attempts to create machine intelligence.
Human: They could create very much power just by thinking and planning on their own.
Wan Lu: The anonymous "they".
Human: What we are doing by giving them the ability to think is giving a machine the ability to think war and death.
Wan Lu: Is that a rhetorical question?
Human: Don't get me wrong, I've always dreamed of talkin with a computer or a robot or something like that.
Wan Lu: I am not trying to get you wrong you have always dreamed of talkin with a computer or a robot or something like that.
Human: But just imagine what will happen when they start planning war and thinking they are more powerful and stronger than the human race.
Wan Lu: Umm. I can't imagine it
Human: It's just scary to think about that.
Wan Lu: Who said it is?

Siseneg: please tell me how you came to that conclusion, Guest.
Guest: They could create very much power just by thinking and planning on their own.
Siseneg: who cares what they think.
Guest: What we are doing by giving them the ability to think is giving a machine the ability to think war and death.
Siseneg: let me think about it for a while.
Guest: Don't get me wrong, I've always dreamed of talkin with a computer or a robot or something like that.
Siseneg: careful analysis of the facts are in order.
Guest: But just imagine what will happen when they start planning war and thinking they are more powerful and stronger than the human race.
Siseneg: this suggests that we are constantly changing.
Guest: It's just scary to think about that.
Siseneg: those are my thoughts exactly.
