THE LEGENDARY STAR KINGDOM
This stallion created a dynasty that continues to this day, incredable sprinters they rewrote the record books and completed the change to sprinting lines becoming the predominant bloodlines in the Australian Thoroughbred. Below is the rest of the Flyer that came with this picture it is to announce this suberb photo is available as a 500 limited Edition Print for $99 unframed and framed for $231 it is available from the "Australian Bloodhorse Review.

I think the address is PO Box 288, Kurnell nsw but if you want a copy better to look them up in the phone book.  I carefully put the flyer away after I copied it and now cant find it.
To name just a few of his sons TODMAN, SHIFNALL, FARINGDON and NOHOLME (EXP USA) I think these four were brothers from the same mare Oceana but Im working from memory so could be wrong.  Email me if I've got it wrong please.

His real name was Star King but when he arrived here another had already been registered in this country with that name so it was amended to Star Kingdom.
Since he started a Kingdom of his own in this country the name change was somewhat prophetic.
Prior to him the Sire sons of even the leading sires had little chance to prove themselves because the majority of broodmare owners prefered to use only sires with (imp) after the name.
So the preference for imported only sires has been around a very long time.
Perhaps his most famous son was Planet Kingdom who had a barrage of sire sons to represent him.  His tragic death after surviving a broken leg only to slip and rebreak it while his flotation tank was being cleaned hit national headlines.
His sire line goes back through Eclipse to the Darley Arabian
