The Touji in our minds: Touji is a character that could be considered normal. Although we don't get to know him as much as we would like we do know some of his more visible traits.

In the beginning, we only see his lower side, drooling over Misato and taking revenge against Shinji, but later we see his true self. We know that he cares about family because he takes care of his sister and beats up Shinji for injuring his her in his first battle.

Touji was chosen to be the Fourth Children and the pilot of Evangelion Unit-03. His only condition was that his sister be admitted to NERV's medical facilities. He is not a pilot for long because his Eva is taken over by the thirteenth angel. The angel destroys the Matsushiro base during his activation test. After battling Unit-1 under the control of the dummyplug, Unit-3 is destroyed. He lost a leg and an arm because the dummyplug crushed his entyplug.
