The Kaji in our minds: Most find him charming, clever and daring. We don't know much about his past except that he was a classmate of Misato and Ritsuko at the University of Tokyo-2 and at one time dated and lived with Misato. When he and Misato went their separate ways, he ended up working for the some surprising people.

Officially, he is apart of the Special Investigations Department of NERV but he is also a double-spy for SEELE and the Japanese Government.

He was apart of the German team that trained Asuka and when Eva-02 was taken to Japan, he accompanied the transfer operation. However, secretly he was bringing Adam with him to Japan. He still has feelings for Misato and at every chance he flirts and makes passes at her. He is driven to find his truth even if means his death.
