Sachiel was the first Angel seen in the series. It came from the waters off of Tokyo-3. The UN attacked but it's AT Field repealed every attempt to destroy it. Unit-01 was sent out to battle; it was the first time Shinji Ikari piloted an Eva. Shinji was badly beaten in the begining but in a moment of rage he lashed out and went into "Berserker" mode, fighting and destroying the Angel.
Profile: Sachiel had many different weapons one was an energy beam, second was jackhammer device attached to his forearm, and the ability to gain extreme strength in its arms.
Fate: Sachiel tried to destroy Unit-01 by self-destructing. It failed but the Eva was damaged.
