Executive Members Present: Lynn Marano, Julie Lingle
1. Meeting commenced: 7:00 pm, under direction of Lynn Marano and Dr. Teachout
2. Clinic ideas for the spring
a. Prof. Luckhardt for student leadership
b. Prof. Kimpton for interviewing and resumes
c. President of MMEA
d. Brett Smith, last year's MN teacher of the year
e. Dr. Tim Gerber from Ohio State, secondary general music specialist
f. Scott Jones from Apples Valley program
g. Bill WEbb, who gave an MMEA clinic last year
3. Explanations of officer positions
a. interested candidates would like a description of what the positions require
b. discussed writing descriptions of our positions
4. E-mail survey
a. finding out how members feel about the way things have been going
1. clinic feedback
2. meeting time and conflicts with it
b. possibly making it an online survey for convenience
5. Changing of the guard meeting
a. discussed when the meeting should take place-decided to be held on January 23rd, 2001
b. discussed thinking of things to communicate at this meeting
1. one definite issue to mention: attendance at executive meetings and making sure to notify Dr.
Teachout or another officer when you cannot make it
6. Conducting forums
a. Dr. Teachout announced he would not be at the University Band forum
