1. picking the right position for yourself
2. thinking about all your experiences and how they can help in terms of your preparation
3. knowing where you want to teach
4. knowing what your career plan is
5. researching possible jobs with factors of community, history of the program, commitment
of the school/district/community, etc.
6. things and people involved in building music programs
