Meeting ends at 1 pm 14 Oct 2003 Clinic: Paul Wigley on Vocal Jazz Clinic starts at 7:03 pm � Vocal jazz is much more musically challenging than show choir. � Vocal jazz much more affordable. � One must fight to get a program started. � Problems that arise � finding music. Festivals and UNC jazz press are two good sources for lit. Consider the size of group, talent level, etc. � When talking to administration to get a program started, the vocal jazz is a good PR tool. � Auditions take place the previous year, and can consist of sight singing, scales, range. Have an assistant if possible. � Equipment includes individual mics. Be familiar with equipment. � More information can be found on video.
