Roberto Moreno (1992) - 1 Start   / 8 Attempts
Perry McCarthy (1992) - 0 Starts / 8 Attempts
This small team is one of the shortest lived constructors in F1 history. They did not make it to the
first race of the year in South Africa, so their season started in Brazil, where both drivers failed to
pre-qualify. By 1992, FOCA had discouraged the formation of one-car teams, as it allowed for easy entry
for small budget teams that probably should not have been there anyway. As a result, the Moda team ran
two cars even though they really could not afford it, and poor Perry McCarthy did not even have a hope
of getting into a race. All resources were focused on Moreno, but it only got him into one race all
season, the Monaco Grand Prix. The Judd-engined car was just too slow. By 1992 there were no teams
with a budget comparible to Moda's left due to a receding economy, and the team felt this strain, as
sponsors left because of the lack of results. A trucker protest barricade meant that the team never
even made it to Magny Cours, and the funds finally ran out after the Belgian Grand Prix.
