This team is one of the most pathetic attempts at an F1 team in history, mainly due to the fact that the
team served as a cover for a major smuggling operation. There was no evidence that they were even trying to
be competitive. In fact, the car was lucky if it was able to complete a whole lap in Friday sessions without breaking down! They started the year with a W12 engine that proved heavy and unreliable, so mid-season they
purchased Judd engines to replace them, but it did not improve the situation. Brabham left the
team early in the year, the team never managed to escape pre-qualifying.
