This nursery mural was by far, one of the most involved and extensive projects that I have ever taken on. As you can see from the photographs below, the mural itself covered not only the four walls of the room, but also the panel closet and ceiling. Done in run-of-the-mill flat ,acrylic paint bought from Meijers, this piece took a little over 2 weeks (106 hours) of invested time to complete! What may not be visable in the photos, is that the large tree in the far corner of the room is actually covering two walls and a portion of the ceiling.

FACT: There are 1257 induvidually drawn and shaded leaves in the trees branches!

Above the room, I painted winter constallations in such a way that the crib of the then unborn baby could sit in the middle of the floor and gain a clear view of all the stars. As an off the wall idea, I used glow paint on all the stars, moon and tiny fire flies scattered around the room, causing them to glow quite brightly when the lights are off. The over all effect turned out to be a feeling as though one were really outside under the night sky.

I enjoyed this project very much and look forward to more like it. Although time consuming... and really really hard on my neck (ceiling detail) the end result was most definitley worth it! I`m also happy to report that recently, the home owners I painted for, had a baby girl. hopfully she will grow up to enjoy the room as much as I enjoyed painting it!

                Picnic Table Project
Larger picture not available at this time
This picnic table project was a fun one to complete! It took about 40 hours  and several tubes of acrylic art paint to finish. The flower on the top is a Hawiian native called Habiscus...one of my favorites! During the construction of this paint project, a spiders nest I was not aware of lerking under one of the seats began to hatch and....to my horror, millions of tiny, black creepies started running not only over my work but me. Man, what I live through just to express myself! ;)
