The kami of snow! Dark Kamis revealed
Satu watched the light snowstorm outside. The weather had been acting really weird lately, and so had Chiyu. Staying out even though there was a storm worthy of knocking down power lines. And it wasn't just that. Whenever Chiyu came home, he had a look of worry on his face, like he'd been through something Satu couldn't begin to understand. She sighed. Even though most of the time Satu felt like putting a king cobra on Chiyu's bed just so she could hear him scream, she really did love him and was worried about her older brother. Satu got up from her desk and walked out of her room to see Chiyu sitting on the couch, flipping through the TV channels. She walked into the living room and took a seat beside Chiyu. The older boy put down the remote and looked over to his younger sister.
"And what can I do for you this fine fall day?" he asked in a cheery voice. Satu shook her head.
"Just thought I'd come and enjoy your rare company," she replied, and sat back into the couch. "Where have you been lately, anyway?" Chiyu shrugged.
"Here and there and everywhere," he said. "Just helping out my friends, that's all." They sat in silence for a little while, the only sound being the constant yelling of 'Whose Line is it Anyway' on the TV.
"Chiyu?" Satu asked.
"Hmm?" Chiyu replied.
"Do you have a girlfriend?" Satu asked. Chiyu blinked, but then raised his eyebrows.
"Why no, I don't, but thank you for reminding me just how bad my love life is going lately," he stated. Satu cocked her head.
"What do you mean by that?" she asked, and Chiyu shook his head.
"To be me is to endure a lot of heartbreaks and headaches, not necessarily in that order," he stated. "As my friend Mizu said once before 'my life is a soap opera and I'm the star'. Heed her words, for I will say them often." Satu smiled. Chiyu really was a nice big brother to her, even if he didn't like admitting it. Satu then grinned evilly.
"I noticed that you said 'her', as in, that friend of yours is a girl," she stated in a voice that you could just tell had a plan behind it. "I don't suppose she's also a star in your little soap opera?" Chiyu nodded, without flinching as would have been expected of him.
"Along with Nariko and Mizu's friend Toshi," he supplied. "We're all one big happy dysfunctional circle of mismatched idiots. And that's not even the half of it." Satu raised her eyebrows.
"And the rest is?" she asked.
"I'd tell you, but then I'd have to kill you," Chiyu replied. "I am bound by the oath of silence to not mention anything of my social life with them. If I do, Mizu promised me that she'd shave my head bald and steal all my underwear." Satu raised her eyebrows.
"Sounds like that friend of yours is pretty um, what's the word I'm looking for..." she started, but Chiyu answered that for her.
"Weird?" he asked. "Yeah, but ya gotta love her anyway." Chiyu then blinked. "Or maybe that's just my opinion..." Something in Satu's head then clicked. Mizu, as in, the Mizu she had met at the restaurant when she went to dinner with her parents and her parents friend and family! She then grinned evilly and stood up.
"Where are you going?" Chiyu asked as Satu headed towards the door.
"I have a nuisance to make out of myself," his younger sister replied. Chiyu shrugged.
"Just remember to take a jacket," was all that he said, for he knew that with Mizu's thick head, Satu wouldn't get very far with her.

Keitaro laid in his backyard right beside the pool, flapping his arms and legs, trying to make a snow angel. He then looked over to the pool, which had been frozen over.
"What do you say, Landlady of the Universe, should I try it?" he asked of his cat. Without waiting for an answer, he jumped onto the ice and began sliding. He soon got out of control, and he slid right into the fence.
"Keitaro, what in the nine hells are you doing?" demanded an only partially awake Mizu from the door. Keitaro grinned as he stood up.
"Making a nuisance of myself," he replied. "You should try it; it's fun!" The doorbell then rang, and Keitaro head-butted through the fence door and charged all the way to the front of the house. Mizu yawned and headed back inside to change, when she heard Keitaro's voice. "I know you; you're Chiyu's sister!"
***
"So..." Keitaro began. He and Satu sat in the kitchen of Keitaro's house with cups of hot chocolate while Mizu was changing. "Just why are you here, anyway?" Satu grinned.
"My brother likes your sister, and I'm determined to get them together at any costs!" was her reply. Keitaro grinned also.
"Me, too!" he exclaimed. "I can tell this is the start of a beautiful friendship! By the way, I'm Keitaro, Mizu's little brother! I'm seven and a half!" Satu smiled sweetly.
"And I'm Satu, and I'm ten and three quarters," she replied. "By the way, Keitaro, just how much do Mizu and Chiyu interact?" Keitaro looked thoughtful.
"Well, they're in the same class at school, and sometimes Chiyu will come over, and they go places a lot!" he exclaimed. "Sometimes they bring me with them, but you know how older brothers or sisters can be." Satu nodded. A shadow loomed across the kitchen, and there stood Mizu. She was dressed in a long-sleeved blue shirt that said 'kawaii' in kanji, a pair of blue jeans, and her hair was tied back into two ponytails with a bandana placed at the top of her head and tied under the ponytails. Satu blinked in amazement.
"Wow, she really cleans up good," she complimented. "Well, Chiyu certainly chose the right girl looks-wise!" Mizu raised her eyebrows.
"And what do you mean by that?" she asked. Satu and Keitaro looked at each other, and both nodded at the same time. Keitaro got up and walked up to his sister and starred up at her.
"Mizu, you love me right?" he asked, and Mizu nodded. "And even though you threaten to, you'd never kill me, right?"
"Nah, too much legal confusion," was Mizu's answer.
"Then, you wouldn't kill me if I asked you to go out with Chiyu?" he asked. Mizu thought about that.
"I'd seriously maim you, but no, I wouldn't kill you," she replied as she went over to the counter and sat down.
"Ah, come on! Why not?" Satu whined. Mizu shrugged.
"He's too high-strung," she replied. Satu shook her head furiously.
"No way!" she exclaimed. "It's just that our parents are work-o-holics and are never home! He takes really good care of me. Every morning, he makes sure I get up in time and eat breakfast and brush my teeth and that my clothes match and that they're right-side-out, and that I have my lunch packed. He even stands up for me when bullies pick on me! He does stuff for our older sister Megami, too, but to name all of it would take at least five pages of this story (rimshot sounds in background)." Mizu looked at Satu stunned.
"He does all that stuff for you?" she asked, and Satu nodded. "Now really you two, do you think I'll fall for him just because I find out what his home life is like? You underestimate me." Satu sighed and stood up.
"Oh, I guess I'll go," she said sadly. "Come on, Keitaro." Keitaro followed Satu, looking equally sad, and they were soon out the door. Mizu blinked a few times before she realized what happened.
"Hey, wait, Keitaro; Mom said you couldn't leave the house today!" she yelled, and she quickly slipped on her shoes and ran outside, but the two were no where in site. Mizu groaned.
"Mom's gonna kill me!" she exclaimed, then began running in the direction of Chiyu's house.
***
Mizu walked along the streets, keeping an eye out for Satu and Keitaro. She wasn't paying attention to where she was going, and she knocked right into someone. Mizu held her head where it had been knocked, then looked up. Her eyes went wide.
"Kamlyn? I thought your performance troupe would've left Shinjuku by now!" she exclaimed.
"I left the troupe," Kamlyn replied simply. "It just wasn't working out. I'm living here in Shinjuku." Mizu blinked.
"Well, need a tour guide?" she asked. Kamlyn shook her head.
"Not from someone like you," she said simply, and she pushed her way past the younger girl and continued walking. Mizu hmphed and folded her arms.
"What's with her?" she asked herself, then looked at her watch. "Oh, no! Mom's gonna be home for her lunch break soon; I gotta find Keitaro!"
***
"And if we don't go to my house like she's probably expecting, Mizu and Chiyu will end up alone!" Satu finished her explanation to Keitaro. "My older sister Megami is working today until late in the afternoon, so we won't hafta worry about her." Keitaro grinned.
"Plus, I have an ace up my sleeve!" he explained. Satu blinked.
"What do you mean?" she asked. Keitaro held up his hand.
"This!" he said, and shot a small fountain of water from his hand. Satu's eyes went wide. "I can also do rain, so as soon as she gets there, hello rainstorm!"
"How can you do that?" Satu asked, amazed. Keitaro shrugged.
"I just can," he replied. "I don't really know how. Mizu can, too, and Chiyu can, only he can control wind!" If Mizu had been there at that moment, she really would've killed her little brother, for she had told him many a time that he wasn't supposed to let people know about their powers. "Anyway, let's just go somewhere where Mizu wouldn't expect us to be! To the library!"
"And you better explain all this on the way, young man!" Satu exclaimed. Keitaro wasn't very worried, though. He was purposely sliding down the ice on the sidewalk.
"I am Keitaro the magnificent!" he yelled, earning many stares from people going by.

Being the only one in the house, Chiyu was just relaxing on the couch, for he had nothing to do. Chiyu just starred up at the ceiling.
"Let's see, Satu went off to talk to Mizu, Megami's at work, and Mom and Dad are also at work, but that's no surprise," he said to himself. "Sheeze, I never realized just how dull it is around here!" He turned over onto his stomach and sighed, when the phone rang. Chiyu reached over the arm of the couch and picked up the cordless phone from the charger.
"Hello?" he asked. Tenshi's voice sounded on the other end, sounding very eager.
"Chiyu, get over here! We have another Kami!" she exclaimed, and Chiyu was certain she was doing the happy dance. He rolled his eyes and got up.
"Eh, why not?" he asked. "Don't have something better to do, now do I?" Tenshi shrugged.
"Probably not," she replied in a cheery voice. "So I can expect you to be here?"
"Yeah," he replied, and both hung up the phone.
***
Toshi had a very skeptical look on his face as Tenshi and Nariko finished their explanation.
"And you expect me to believe this... why?" he asked. "I mean, okay, the whole power thing is strange enough, but reincarnations of Gods? I'd have to say you've gone off the deep end." Tenshi grinned.
"Just wait until the rest come and then give us your opinion," she replied. Toshi blinked questioningly. Nariko had managed to convince him to come to Tenshi's house, and he sat and listened to their explanations, and even managed to get him to demonstrate his powers by freezing Tenshi's tea solid, and they had showed their powers, and now were saying there were others? Toshi was beggining to seriously think that all sanity in his life had been lost. There was a voice from outside and Toshi immedietely recognized it.
"Keitaro, I managed to convince Mom that you were just in the backyard and if you run off again, I promise you that you'll die a painfully slow death!" Mizu threatened. She soon opened the door and peaked in, and her eyes went wide as she saw Toshi.
"Geeze, I guess I was right," she stated as she and Keitaro walked in, closed the door, and slipped off their shoes. Mizu sat down on the empty couch, but Keitaro immedietely headed for the kitchen, knowing Tenshi wouldn't mind him eating another box of the cereal. There was an awkward silence in the room until the final person came.
"Hello?" Chiyu asked as he peeked his head through the opened door. Toshi, to put it mildly, looked like he was going to have a nervous break-down. Sounded like it, too.
"He, she, Mizu, but, um, huh?" he stuttered. Tenshi looked very pleased.
"He'll fit right in," she stated. She then patted him on the head. Her face then took on a serious expression. "Of course, if he wants to stay and help us." Tenshi looked down at Toshi, and the boy gulped.
"Um, well, this whole thing is pretty much, well, unbelievable, to tell you the truth," Toshi admitted. He then held up his hand and a small snow storm came from it. He grinned. "But it IS pretty cool." Everyone smiled.

Kamlyn and Akuma, along with two more Dark Kamis known as Ken and Toru, stood in the middle of one of the Shinjuku malls. If there was any time to make themselves known, it was now.
"Are we ready?" Kamlyn asked in her dark voice. The rest of the Dark Kamis, all nodded, grinning malliciously.
***
Outside the mall, several windows shattered, and snow, fire, and waves of darkness poured out and a violent wind blew, carrying many people with it. Tenshi gasped as she opened her eyes.
"What is it, Tenshi?" Nariko asked. Tenshi looked worried.
"We'd better get over to mall on Nami Street," she stated. Toshi looked puzzled, but since Mizu seemed to trust Tenshi, he did, too.
***
All of the Kamis gasped at the scene. Several people were on fire. Others were in a hurricane, being tossed and turned, and still others were completely frozen and laying stiff on the ground. In the mayhem, Mizu spotted four teenagers standing, seeming pleased with the destruction. Mizu pushed her way through the crowd, occasionally dowsing someone who on fire, until she came to the people.
"You like?" Kamlyn asked, stilling smiling evilly. Mizu folded her arms.
"No, in fact, I do not like," she stated. "But I do have something you'll appricate." Kamlyn raised her eye brows.
"And what would that be?" she asked. Mizu smiled sweetly.
"While I distracted you four, my friends over there set everything back right," she stated. Toru's eyes went wide as he saw that the hurricane was gone, and the burned and frozen people were being treated.
"But..." he began. Mizu walked over and stared at the boy. She then smiled again.
"You know, you're cute," she stated. "It's too bad you're insane." Mizu innocently leaned foward and kissed the Kami of Darkness on the cheek, then turned around and walked back towards her friends. Kamlyn, ignoring Mizu, growled.
"That's just a taste of our power," she said just loud enough so the Hikari Kamis heard her. "You're going to have to do a lot better than that to defeat us next time." With that, they all disappeared. Nariko raised her eyebrows.
"Just who were they, anyway?" she asked. Tenshi sighed.
"I think maybe it's time we talked to the Elders," she stated.
