The True Princess Usagi-chan usagi@tuxedomask.com This story is kinda messy. This is the revised version, but its the plot that is strange. The Outer Senshi show up lots sooner and it takes place in the first season when Usagi and Mamoru don't get along, they don't know who Tuxedo Kamen or the Princess are and Sailorvenus has just shown up recently. Usagi sighed as she set aside her manga. She curled up beside her table and stared out her window. She thought back to the lecture Luna had given her earlier that day. ~~FLASHBACK~~ "Usagi-chan! It's important that you, as Sailormoon, protect the Princess with your life! Minako-san is the only one who can defeat the enemy." Luna paced back and forth across Usagi's bed. "I know that, Luna." Usagi replied as she paused from brushing her hair. She knelt before her bed, listening to Luna. "If anything were to happen to the Princess, the world is doomed." ~~END FLASHBACK~~ "Doomed..." Usagi mused allowed. "I guess I'll have to take my duty more seriously. If Minako-san is the Princess and it's my duty to protect her..." Usagi let her voice trail off as she pictured the new scout. Sailorvenus. She had just shown up out of no where. No one questioned her. The blonde haired senshi of love was the Princess. Everyone just accepted it. This was fine with Usagi, except for one thing. Tuxedo Kamen had said he wanted the free the Princess, because he was in love with her. Usagi had picked up on the latter half. And yet, here was the Princess, freed without the ginzuishou and Tuxedo Kamen still focused all his attention on Usagi, not Minako. Usagi shrugged and got to her feet. It was late and she knew that in a few hours, her communicator would beep alerting her that a youma was attacking. She quickly changed into her pajamas and crawled into bed for a few hours of blissful sleep. ~~ As soon as Usagi heard the beeping, she leapt out of her bed and crept out the window. Expertly she climbed down the tree outside her window and began to run. As soon as she was a fair distance from her house, she held her transformation pen high above her head and transformed. Still running, Sailormoon followed her instincts and raced towards the park. When she got there, Sailormercury and Sailorjupiter were already battling. "Where's Mars and Venus?" Sailormoon asked as she leapt into the fray. Sailormercury and Sailorjupiter looked at her dumbfounded. "Sailormoon?" Sailorjupiter asked. The youma used the distraction to its advantage and shot a blast of dark energy at Sailorjupiter. "Watch out!" Sailormoon cried as she shoved Jupiter over. She was a little too slow, and Sailormoon felt the energy go through her arm. Biting back a scream, Sailormoon got to her feet and turned to face the youma. "Thanks Sailormoon." Sailorjupiter smiled at her friend. Sailormoon smiled back. "Pay more attention, k? That hurt!" Sailor Jupiter nodded and they turned their full attention back to the demon. Sailormercury was analyzing it, when is shot another blast. This time it was Sailormercury who didn't notice. Again Sailormoon threw herself in front of the blast and again it hit her. This time, she was blasted back into some bushes, and was out of sight. "Sailormoon!" Sailormercury cried. "Shabon Spray!' Just as Sailormercury finished her attack, Sailorvenus and Sailormars showed up. "What's up Mercury?" Sailorvenus asked as she stepped into the clearing. "Same old same old." Sailormercury replied as she moved towards the bushes. "Except Sailormoon's hurt!" "What? That meatball brain? She isn't even here!" Sailormars exclaimed. "I heard that..." Sailormoon moaned as she sat up, on gloved hand clutching her head. "Sailormoon! Are you alright?" Sailorvenus exclaimed as she raced towards her fallen comrade. "Yes, Princess. I'm fine." Sailormoon smiled to show that she was. "Come on. Let's dust this thing!" Quickly Sailormoon stood up, and paused as a wave of dizziness struck her. "Sailormoon's weak now, so we'll have to weaken the creature with out best attacks first." Sailormercury said. The others nodded. "Mars Fire Soul!" "Shabon Spray!" "Supreme Thunder!" As Sailorvenus was preparing to attack the creature, it sent a blast towards her. Sailormoon was the only one too notice. "No! Princess!" She screamed as she lanunched herself in front of Sailorvenus, who had just sent her own attack. Sailormoon was hit. She screamed as both attacks hit her. Sailorvenus screamed as well. "No!! Princess!" Sailorvenus stared in horror as her own attack hit their leader. Sailormoon's body fell limply to the ground. She didn't move. "Kami-sama..." Sailorvenus whispered as she fell to her knees by Sailormoon. "What have I done?" The other senshi gathered around their leader, and heard as Sailorvenus spoke softly. "What do you mean what have you done?" Sailormars asked. "Your the Princess. It was her responsibilty to protect you..." "I should have paid more attention! I should have protected her!" Sailorvenus scolded herself, oblivious to ther other senshi. "Princess!" Sailormercury exclaimed, taking Sailorvenus' arm and pulling her to her feet. "It wasn't your fault. She was trying to protect you. That's our job." "No! Don't you see? I'm not the Princess. I was never the Princess!" Sailorvenus sobbed. Suddenly Tuxedo Kamen leapt out of the tree. He landed gracefully on his feet beside Sailormoon. Carefully, he scooped her up in his arms. "Oh Princess! Oh love!" He whispered into her ear. "Mamoru-san..." She whispered, slighly conscious. Her head rolled to the side and landed softly on his chest. Tuxedo Kamen stood, with Sailormoon in his arms. He turned away from the senshi before he spoke to them. "The Princess is no longer your responsibility. She will be protected by others." Tuxedo Kamen took off as soon as he had finished speaking. The senshi were left staring at his retreating figure in shock. Sailormars was the first to get over it. She turned towards Sailorvenus with fire in her eyes. "What's going on?" Her voice was quiet and sounded calm, but Sailorvenus could tell Sailormars was furious. "I'm not the Princess. I said I was to keep the real Princess safe. I was to be used as a decoy. The real Moon Princess, is Sailormoon." Sailorvenus sighed as she sank to her knees in front of the others. "Artemis and I decided we should keep everyone in the dark about the true identity of the Moon Princess. Even Luna. Even you guys." "Usagi is the Moon Princess." Sailormercury half asked, half stated. "Yes." Sailorvenus nodded her head in confirmation. "And now Tuxedo Kamen took off with her and told us not to worry." Sailorjupiter looked angrily in the direction he had taken her. "I'm beat, and going home for the night. We know we can trust him..." Sailormercury said as she turned and began to walk home. "I agree." Sailorjupiter said as she left as well. Sailormars nodded as she went with Sailorjupiter, leaving Sailorvenus all alone. ~~ Usagi tried to open her eyes, but found that her eyelids were too heavy. She could hear someone arguing. The voice was quiet, but it seemed to be pounding in her ears. "We can't let her know!" the voice exclaimed. "Hush." Another voice commanded. "She needs to rest." "If we tell her who she is, and who I am, then I don't stand a chance. I don't want her to think that..." The voice grew quieter until Usagi could no longer hear it. "Fine." Another voice spoke louder. "We'll keep it a secret." That was all Usagi heard, because she found the call of sleep to enticing. ~~ "Sailormoon? Wake up, Sailormoon." The voice called softly. Usagi slowly opened her eyes. She found herself drowning in the most beautiful blue eyes she had ever seen in all her life. "Your awake. I was worried." The same voice whispered. "I'm going to tell the others." Usagi nodded slightly and instantly regretted it. Her head was pounding. She clutched her forward with her hand and moaned softly. "Odango! You shouldn't move just yet." Another voice called out from the doorway. Usagi looked up to see a tall blonde watching her. "Who are you? Where am I?" Usagi asked. "I'm Tenou Haruka. This is Kaiou Michiru." Haruka gestured to the aquamarine haired girl beside her. "And you are in Chiba Mamoru's apartment." "What?" Usagi screeched as she leapt out of the bed. "Mamoru-san's apartment? Mamoru as in the guy who calls me Odango Atama? Ooh.." Usagi collapsed as the pain flared through her body. Haruka leapt forward and caught her before she hit the ground. "You need to rest, Odango." Haruka said as she carried Usagi to the bed. Michiru came forward with a wet cloth in her hand. "Try to get some sleep, little one." Michiru said as she wiped Usagi's forehead with the cool cloth. Usagi shut her eyes and drifted off to sleep for a third time. ~~ Once more, Usagi's eyes fluttered open. She looked around the room to find herself alone in a strange bedroom. She was about to let out a wail of fear when she remembered that she was in Mamoru's apartment. Usagi decided to stay put. The others would come when they wanted to. Until then, she was happy and content to stay put in the nice, warm bed. Of course, that would be when Mamoru opened the door.... "Usagi-chan? How are you feeling?" He asked as he stepped into the room. He shut the door behind him, much to Usagi's relief. The light was really too bright. "Better." She replied as she snuggled deeper into the bed. Suddenly a thought occurred to her. "How did I get here?" She asked him. "You got hurt, when you were fighting." Mamoru replied. "Fighting?" Usagi asked. Mamoru sighed as he sat on the edge of the bed. Gently, he reached over and took Usagi's hand. Usagi felt something cool slip into her hand, and when Mamoru let go, she looked down to see her brooch. "Oh... You know." She said softly. "I've known for a while, Sailormoon." Mamoru replied softly, before holding a mask up to his face. It was a white domino mask. Usagi gasped. "Tuxedo Kamen-sama!" She brought her hand up to her mouth in surprise. "Yeah." He laughed softly. "The others want to make sure you are okay, and discuss what happened with you. Are you up to that?" "Sure." Usagi replied. Mamoru went to the door and spoke to the three waiting women. "She's awake." Haruka, Michiru and another odd looking woman entered the room. They each stood at the foot of her bed, looking oddly protective. Mamoru resumed his position on the edge of the bed. "I'm Meiou Setsuna, also known as Sailorpluto." As the green haired woman spoke, she dropped to one knee and bowed her head in respect. Usagi was puzzled at the obvious display of obedience, but didn't say anything. "I'm Tenou Haruka, or Sailoruranus." Haruka ran a hand through her short blonde hair. "Yes, I remember you from earlier..." Usagi replied. "I'm Sailorneptune, or Kaiou Michiru." Michiru smiled. "What's going on? Where are the others?" Usagi asked. She noticed that Haruka's face took on a look of anger. "They are no longer in charge of protecting you." Haruka informed her. "Wha.. What? Protecting me?" Usagi asked, even more confused. "Nothing, Usagi-chan." Mamoru said, shooting a look at Haruka. "I don't need protecting though." Usagi told them. "Of course you don't." Michiru told her kindly. "But you are the leader of the Sailor Senshi, and they should have been more careful when fighting with you." "Don't worry about it, Usagi-chan." Mamoru told her. "How are you feeling? Would you like something to eat?" "Uh-huh!" Usagi exclaimed enthusiastically at the mention of food. Haruka laughed and left the bedroom. "I'll be back, Odango." Haruka said from the doorway. "How did you find me?" Usagi asked. "I mean, I didn't even know there were senshi of the outer planets!" "It's because Setsuna-san is the Guardian of Time." Michiru explained. "She can see everything." "Oh..." Usagi nodded, as another thought occured to her. "Do my parents know where I am?" "That's been taken care of." Setsuna replied, darkly. "Taken... care of?" Usagi gulped. "Yes. I went back in time and told your parents that you were spending the night with me." Setsuna explained. "I also brainwashed them into thinking I was your aunt." "Oh." Usagi looked obviously relieved. "I'd better go check on Haruka. She's probably broken all your dishes by now." Michiru laughed and grabbed Setsuna's arm, pulling her out of the room. "Are you sure you feel okay?" Mamoru asked. "You look a little pale." "I'm okay." Usagi replied, suddenly nervous. Mamoru leaned forward and extended his hand to brush against her forhead. The gentle touch sent shivers down Usagi's spine. "Your warm." He told her, his breath hot against her cheek. Mamoru picked up the cloth Michiru had set in the bowl of cool water on Mamoru's night stand. Usagi shut her eyes as he began to wipe her face with the cloth. ~~~ E-mail me!
