	"That's the last box." Darien said as he dropped a large 
cardboard box on the floor of his penthouse apartment.  Wiping 
the sweat off his forehead, he turned to look at Serena.
	"Where did you get all this stuff and how did you get it 
all to fit in that small apartment of yours?" He asked.
	"I dunno." Serena shrugged, barely pausing to look up from 
the box she was unpacking.
	"Let's take a break and go out for dinner." Darien suggested.
	"Like this?" Serena asked, looking dubiously at the 
clothes she was wearing.
	"Sure.  Why not?" He asked.
	"I'm a mess!  There's no way I'm going out dressed like 
this.  Besides Darien, it's our first evening together in my new 
home, so we should eat here." Serena spoke decisively, her mind 
obviously made up.  Darien smiled.
	"I like the idea of that, our home."  Still smiling, he 
headed into the kitchen and began to root around in the cupboards 
looking for something decent to have as a first meal together.
	"Smells good." Serena sighed as she entered the kitchen.  
She had almost finished unpacking everything she would need to 
unpack and the wonderful smells wafting through the air just drew 
her to the kitchen.  
	"Thanks." Darien stirred the pot.
	"What is it?" Serena asked, peeking into the pot as the 
telephone rang.
	"Hello?" Darien asked, picking up the receiver.  "Just
a minute.  Serena, it's for you."
	"Hello?" Serena asked, puzzled.  "Ames!  What's wrong? 
Yes, I'll be there in a few minutes.  Yes, okay.  Just wait for
me!" Serena hung up the phone.  "I have to go.  I'll be back later."
	She raced to the door, threw on her shoes and grabbed her
keys.  Serena was out the door before Darien could even blink.

	"Amy!  It's me!  Open the door!" Serena called, standing
outside the white apartment door.  A tearful Amy opened the door
before falling into Serena's arms, sobbing.
	"Serena!"
	"Amy!  What happened?" Serena asked, leading Amy inside.
	"Serena!  It was awful!" Amy collapsed on the sofa. 
	"Tell me then." Serena said softly.
	"I went to the park to meet Mike, like we planned.  He was
making out with some redhead!" Amy sobbed out.
	"What a jerk!  Oh Amy...  I'm so sorry." Serena hugged
her friend.  
	"What am I gonna do?" Amy sobbed.
	"Ames...  Why don't you come stay with me for a while?"
Serena suggested.
	"But you apartment is so little..." Amy sniffed.
	"Erm..  I moved." Serena said quietly.
	"When?" Amy exclaimed.
	"Today." 
	"Where to?" 
	"A penthouse apartment." Serena whispered.
	"What?!  How can you afford one of those!" Amy exclaimed,
before blushing profusely.
	"I live with someone else." Serena blushed. 
	"Who?" Amy asked, her eyebrow raised and all her troubles
forgotten.
	"A friend..." Serena replied evasively.
	"Who." Amy repeated.
	"Darien Shields." 
	"Oh really?" Amy asked.  "Talk."	
	"It's a long story, Amy.  I don't want to get into it now."
Serena looked away.
	"What does David think?" Amy asked.
	"It's over between us.  I gave hm back his ring a few days 
ago." 
	"Oh Serena..." Amy whispered.
	"No, I broke it off.  I'm okay with it." Serena sighed.  "It's
because of Darien.  Amy, I'm in love with him."
	Amy held Serena's eyes for a minute, before speaking.
	"Serena, think about this.  You thought you loved David,
at least enough to spend the rest of your life with him.  What's
different with Darien?  From everything I've heard about him..."
	"But he's not like that Amy!  He's nothing like the newspapers
say.  He's wonderful and sweet and romantic and amazing.." Serena
sighed.  "He saved my life you know."
	"What?  What happened?" Amy asked.
	"We were out sailing, and I jumped in the water to swim.  I'm
not sure what happened, but I hit the water too fast and it was
too cold and I lost consciousness.  When I woke up, I was in the
cabin on the boat, and he was there." 
	"That sounds like something out of Lita's book." Amy 
giggled. 
	"Yeah, well..." Serena shrugged.
	"How does he feel about you?" Amy asked.
	"The same, Amy.  He loves me too..."

AUTHOR'S NOTES: Shorter than usual, but I created a new page and
everything.  A girl can only do so much! ^_^  I'll post the next
