Chalk Boards and Children - Three Usagi-chan Usagi@tuxedomask.com I don't own Sailormoon or anything pertaining to E-mail me! ~~~ Rei, Usagi and Mamoru made their way up the temple stairs. It was nearly two in the morning, but Mamoru had wanted to pick up the children. "This way." Rei's voice was quiet as she led the two through the temple, towards one of the guest rooms. she slid the door open to reveal Kaisai and Kimae sleeping side by side. Usagi smiled. "They're so cute!" She exclaimed softly. Mamoru smiled. "It's a shame to wake them..." Rei smiled slightly. "Why don't you two leave them here, and come pick them up tomorrow?" Usagi glanced at Mamoru, and he nodded. "I guess so, if you really don't mind..." "Not at all. Listen, you two are welcome to stay, but I really need to get some rest." Rei yawned. "I'll see you both tomorrow. Good night." Rei disappeared down one of the hall ways and Usagi turned to Mamoru. "Why don't we take a walk behind the temple before we go? It's always so beatiful this time of night." She suggested. "Alright." Mamoru replied and gestured for Usagi to lead the way. When they were walking among the cherry blossom trees, Usagi gazed around in wonder. The full moon cast silvery on the trees, creating an almost magical beauty. "It's gorgeous..." She whispered. "Yes." Mamoru replied. His eyes were focused on Usagi, not the trees. He was mesmerized with the way she looked, standing among the enchanted trees like a Goddess. Usagi giggled as a wind began to blow, tossing the blossoms around her. She whirled around before stopping to look at Mamoru. Their eyes met, and Usagi felt like she was drowning in Mamoru's eyes. "Usagi.." He whispered, stepping forward. His arms wrapped around her and his lips claimed hers beneath the dark night sky. Although shocked at first, Usagi's arms slid around Mamoru and she kissed him back. The two stood there, entwined, kissing, as cherry blossoms floated down around them. Suddenly Mamoru pulled away. Both were gasping for breath, but Usagi was puzzled. "I'm so sorry, Usagi-san..." He told her, sorrow filling his voice. "I'll take you home now." Mamoru turned to walk away, but Usagi stepped forward and put a hand on his shoulder, turning him around. "No." She told him, before pressing herself against him and kissing him. Mamoru gave in immediately, kissing her back passionatly. "Now what?" He asked, when they finally broke apart again. "I don't want to go home." Usagi told him from her place in his arms. "Where do you want to go?" He asked. "Where ever you are." Mamoru led Usagi back to his car, one arm still around her. He drove away from the temple, and headed towards his home. "We'll be alone. Hiai is spending the night Miaka's." Mamoru told her. "Hinting at something?" Usagi teased, raising an eyebrow at him. Mamoru flushed. "No! No I wasn't implying anything!" He exclaimed. Usagi giggled. She leaned towards him and settled her head on his shoulder. "I don't mind if you were..." Usagi's sentence seemed to hang in the air as they drove in silence. Mamoru tried to concentrate on the road, but felt his focus slipping to the petite blonde nestled against him. It seemed forever before they pulled up in front of the large house Mamoru called home. Mamoru stepped out of the car and came around to open the door for Usagi. As she stepped out, she stepped right into his arms, not wanting to leave them for an instant. Together they walked up to the front door. Mamoru pulled out his key and quickly unlocked the front door. Usagi stepped into his house, and turned to him as he shut the door. "Usagi..." Mamoru's arms were around her and his lips on hers. Usagi's hands slid up his back and to his chest. She slipped them under his jacket and over his shoulders, dropping the black blazer on the floor. Mamoru made no move to stop her as she began to unbutton his shirt. Mamoru's lips made a trail done Usagi's pale throat. She moaned softly and ran her fingers through his hair. Without any notice, he swept her up in his embrace, never once letting his lips leave her skin. Usagi buried her face in his neck as he carried her up the stairs, and down a darkened corridor. ~~~ Hiai was so excited, she couldn't wait for her uncle to get up. She giggled as she raced down the hallway to his room. "Oji-san!" She threw his bedroom door and flicked on the light, then gasped. She could see her uncle holding something, but all she could see was masses of what looked like liquid gold. "Hiai-chan?" A groggy voice asked. Hiai looked up to see a pair of crystal blue eyes looking at her. It was Usagi. "Tsukino-sensei.." She whispered in shock before turning and running from the room. "Mamoru! Mamoru!" Usagi shook him as she called his name. "Wake up!" "Hmmm? Usako..." He smiled lovingly at her and tried to pull her down for a kiss, but Usagi resisted. "Not now... Hiai-chan just walked in." Usagi bit her lip as Mamoru bolted up in the bed. "I take it she wasn't too happy?" He asked, even as he threw his legs over the bed and pulled on a pair of boxers. (Yes boxers. No briefs for our masked man!) "What are we going to do?" Usagi asked as she held the sheet up around her. "I guess I'll go talk to her." Mamoru sighed and pulled on a pair of stone khaki's from his closet. "She's going to hate me..." Usagi whispered, tears welling up in her eyes. Mamoru knelt on the bed, and pulled her into his arms. "We haven't done anything wrong, Usako. Hiai has no reason to be upset." He whispered in her ear. Usagi sniffled. "She does... I'm her teacher! She's supposed to be able to trust me, and I betrayed her like this..." "You haven't betrayed anyone. Listen to me, Usako. You've made the children so happy!! They love you! They really do." "But she trusted me..." Tears fell from her eyes as she pulled away from him and buried her face in the pillow. "I'll be back." Mamoru spoke with a sigh. "I'll go talk to her." As he shut the door, Usagi sat up again on the bed. She quickly pulled on the clothes she had been wearing the night before and ran a brush through her hair. Usagi opened the door cautiously and listened. Hearing no voices, Usagi slipped out, determined to leave the house, and it's occupants forever. The expression on Hiai's face had left her guilt ridden. She couldn't face her again. After walking down the stairs like a ghost, Usagi opened the front door and was gone, with no one the wiser. ~~ Hiai walked into her classroom with a stony expression, prepared to give her teacher an extremly hard time. When she saw the elderly lady sitting at Tsukino-sensei's desk, she was surprised, to say the least. Plunking into her seat, Hiai looked at Miaka and asked where Tsukino-sensei was. "No one knows. Saotoshi says he heard that Akane said that Hime was in the office and heard that Tsukino-sensei had quit." Miaka sighed. "She was the best teacher!" "I'm not so sure... She wasn't that great." Hiai shrugged. "What are you talking about?!" A brunette stuck her head into the conversation. "Tsukino-sensei was so nice!" "Nice enough to sleep with my uncle." Hiai muttered. "What was that?" Miaka asked. "Nothing." Hiai turned her attention to the new teacher, blushing. ~~ Mamoru walked quickly down the hall towards Hiai's classroom. He was hoping to catch Usagi before she left work that day. After trying to sort things out with Hiai, he had gone back to his room to find her gone without a trace. Mamoru turned and stuck his head in the classroom. Instead of finding the pretty young blond standing on front of the students, Mamoru was faced with a much older woman. Completly shocked, he whirled around and headed towards the office to find out what had happened to Usagi. "I'm sorry sir, we can't divulge such information." The secretary told him once he had asked. Mamoru hit the top of the counter with a fist, before turning and storming out of the school office. "Incompetent..." He muttered before heading back to his car. Mamoru turned it on and pulled out of the school parking lot. He drove towards the apartment complex where Usagi lived, hoping she was home, sick maybe, from work. He knocked on her door again, after receiving no answer the first time. Perplexed as to where the girl might be, Mamoru was about to leave when the door opened, revealing a puffy eyed Usagi. "Chiba-san!" She gasped, before the door began to fly shut in his face. Mamoru reacted fast, thrusting his arm out and holding the door in place. "Usako... I've been looking for you." He told her. "What for?" She asked, releasing the pressure she had been putting on the door. "Why did you you leave?" He asked. Usagi sighed and stepped away from the door. Mamoru took that as an invitation to enter. "Because." Usagi replied, her voice flat. " 'Because' isn't much of an answer." He shut the door behind him. Usagi shrugged, half heartedly. "Did you want anything else?" She asked, her tone hinting that he should leave. "Yeah." Mamoru nodded. Before Usagi could react, Mamoru had pinned her against his chest and was kissing her. Usagi pushed against his chest, trying to get out of his embrace. She fought against every fibre in her body that screamed how right it was. She had to get away... "Get out." She told him, as she finally got away from him. Her voice was low and cold, and somehow sent a shiver down Mamoru's spine. "Usako..." He reached out to her, but she slapped his hand away. "Don't call me that, and get out!!" Her voice rose with each word until she was yelling. Mamoru was shocked. He never thought the girl could possess so much anger. She was always so sweet and patient with the children, but the look on her face now told him she couldn't stand to be in his presence. "Get out of here! Now! I never want to see you again!" Her tone was viscious and Mamoru felt like his heart was being shredded. "Usako.. I don't understand." He ran a hand through his hair. "I never realized you were stupid." She scoffed. "There's the door. Walk through it and never come back." Mamoru shut his eyes tightly, before whirling around on his heel, and leaving her apartment. He stopped just outside her door and turned to say something to her. "Usako, please.. I.." Usagi slammed the door in his face, not even letting him finish his sentence. As she heard his footsteps retreating, and the ding of the elevator, Usagi leaned against her door and slid to the ground. Sobs racked her body as she buried her face in her knees. ~~~
