In the summer of 1974, I was working as a camp counselor in the Berkshires in Massachusetts. It was my day off and it was a beautiful day and I was sitting with my guitar on a hill overlooking a beautiful lake. At that time, I was reading the book "Song of Solomon" and was overcome by how much God loved me. This song was the result of such a day and such thoughts. Twenty-five years later at my daughter's wedding, her sister-in-law sang this song as Shanni walked down the aisle. Doesn't God have wonderful plans for all of His children?

Arise my love, my fair one
Arise and come with me
For lo, the winter's over and gone
And blossoms are on the tree

I see you through the window
A wall between us stands
Arise and walk towards me
I'll give you both of my hands

CHORUS
La la la la la la la la
Jesus how I love you
La la la la la la la la
Now I know you love me too

Your face my dove is comely
Your voice is sweet to hear
And have I ever told you
I love to have you near  (CHORUS)

Catch us the little foxes
That want to spoil the vine
And I'll give you my love dear
The wheat, the oil, the wine (CHORUS)
