he thought he knew,
a place called earth,
everything looked new.
He was only gone for awhile-
he thought to himself.
All he needed was a mile
or two to find himself.
And now, all he has known
is forever gone.
It was dusk, and now it's dawn-
the sunshine is gone.
All he sees is darkness
taking over the light in his life.
No more days of brightness,
but a shadow of his past life.
